Im a rogue on mabon and i have never lost a duel against any class around my lvl no matter the class or build they have unless its a warrior that is fully luxed out with best lux they can get and I actually win some duels against them and lose some (mostly win) but it depends on how the duel goes for me (if they evade any skills or i mess up in anyway)

And what level are you?

Probably some level 20 with haste gloves, boots, heroic ammy golden bodkin and warmagic helm.

a warrior with the same things can probably own a rogue around the same level or a warrior haste gloves,boots,hero ammy 4 +5 rupture rings and godly braces and one of those halloween 2011 or 12 charms with like 30 armor and a good build could win a level 20+ rogue

Full vit i can take most warriors, pvp warriors are where you need pd. mostly the stra with pd is to cast fast skills such as ss,qs rend(a must to keep warrior from sigils kicking in) basically anything you can get off before they cast shatter. As soon as your hit with shatter AND have used rend, hit pd, wait for shatter to wear off and ss to cd, after both has happened hit with ss and everything else you have.

If enemy warrior has minimal sigils rend is not necessary.

depends what level, lets say endgame. a pure tank with 21k hp, no matter what i dont believe you have a chance.

Well everyone here acting like they can defeat most warriors are obviously not fighting against a warrior that knows how to play. Like the play dead strategy... how are you even going use play dead if your stunned with bash? and after im done raping you while ur stunned, I got another 5 seconds of shield wall to stop a lot of damage (or vice versa). Can you survive 5-10 seconds of getting barraged with skills without landing one hit on the warrior and THEN deal over 10k-15k damage on a highly armored target before your dead? When you can answer that question, then you can beat a warrior. And it doesn't count as winning unless u beat a warrior in a duel. Arena can be manipulated easily.

It's highly unlikely that a pvp rogue will beat a pvp warrior, for the reasons Immortalius just said ^

A cheap tactic that can sometimes work is hit and run. Equip good (at least royal and grand) shadowstrike rings, and a hrung ss helm if you have one, and spec to hybrid dex/vit. Then get on a mount before the duel—the faster the better—shadowstrike the warrior as soon as the fight starts, and run away as quickly as possible.

Next you're going to want to circle around, keeping a large distance between you and the warrior. They've got a surprisingly large attack radius so be careful, especially if they have bash.

(If you're doing this as a low level, a golden shrink charm really helps. If you're doing it in arena, use hide while circling.)

If you get shattered, play dead. If you get bashed, play dead right afterward. If the warrior is closing distance, play dead.

However this strategy isn't that great because 1) skill damage is horribly nerfed in pvp 2) pvp veterans will bash and wall and 3) travel lix counteracts running away.

Toe to toe, warriors almost always beat similarly geared/leveled rogues.
