sneaky is a big dps skill and very steady, one of my favourites.

Hey, sorry im a noob. But its hard for me to use sneaky. They always target me (mobs)

Make sure you're out of their range before you try it, keep your distance then SNEAKY.
if they're ranged mobs and they're still interrupting it, make sure you're well out of their distance--
hit SNEAKY
while running towards it--
use SHADOWSTRIKE

If done correctly you will ss the mob then while they're attacking you, your character should be casting sneaky also.

So in other words, the only reason they were good was because you chose to abuse a glitch.

Im of the opinion that it shouldnt have been changed
Offhand daggers- limited to quest and drops clasisfied as daggers should allow sneaky to be used

Anyhow i digress, a void spear on a full skills/str build will rival a dagger build, but is no longer a clear cut winner

I did some math comparing my shadow focus(FOCUS) spear to my dragonlord dagger at 5 str base (with garanak set)
Shadow spear is 2900 weapon speed x .60 (60% haste)= 1740 speed
2900 -1740 speed (you're subtracting the 60% to find the actual speed) = 1160 speed or 1.16 seconds per hit.
Dragonlord dagger hits the weapon speed cap at 1s per hit on haste or 1000 weapon speed.

Damage: 2715 with spear and 2096 with dagger.
To find the "damage per second" all you need to do is divide the damage by the attack speed, so it came out to
Spear: 2340.5 dps
Dagger: 2096 dps (obviously)
...Ofc this is before any strength is added at all, which will increase the differential because the spear will get more damage per strength point than the dagger (65 more Pierce Damage)

My personal opinion for an end game str rogue (which I assume you are based on your mocking of dex rogues) would be to use spear. You could still use sneaky, just switch to a dagger for the 1 hit every what... 30 seconds? (Idk I don't use it ) to maximise dps

Unavoidable with immense damage, it's amazing on bosses.

The swap from spear to dagger method is obviously the best dps except I don't know about you but I sire as hell cbf to do that. Nobody on my world beats me on kills and I use my dagger, not going to change unless I stop getting kills.

Bet no one on your world is as cool as me, not even you

both cap with spear hitting higher autos but dagger has sneaky now, combine that with a random proc. I could see it happening. But i bet I could probably outdps you on a boss

but we will never know
