Re: A better way of showing how rogue skills are underpowere

Rogues have energy issues only because they don't equip enough regens.
If we equip regen we lose auto attack which makes us weaker then mages even more. I have 80 regen and cant keep up with 3 skills only just keeps up with 2
warrriors still have it worst I have a rogue trust me I know both sides warriors need more than we do ;)
So warriors are getting beat in there main roll of tanking??? I think not... Rogues get beat in there main dps roll.

Okay, I'll admit after reading the first two pages I skipped the rest.
Brookie, how are YOU geared? Have you moved on to skill rings yet or are you still stuck back with dmg rings?
I have not noticed underpowered skills whatsoever, but I use skill rings that put me at 50/35 quick strike and 40/35 sneaky. This puts my quick strike alone at 2.8k or so, you claimed 2k for you in your first post. I have gotten every kill I've been in a group for, provided I did not start attacking too late.
Anyways I, and probably others who stack skills (I still use rad bp etc. though) have not noticed rogues been underpowered. We just simply aren't auto attack reliant, which you were built for and seem to be complainig because of.
However I do not appreciate the sneaky/assassinate nerf, I thought they were fine.
I cannot comment on the mage skill nerfs as I stopped mine at 90 and don't have experience past that.
As for your complaint about Riposte, with lures up it hits those who attack me for 2.3k+ ea per hit, so leveling that just destroys combined with the relatively short cooldown. It is a cloak-esque skill but should not be compared. Its use is quite different.

No offence but this post is honestly making me laugh. Not in a bad way ofc but lemme through some thoughts out there: 1. Have you considered if a Mage misses an attack he has to wait and there is an interruption in his damage. 2. Have you considered that mages have high energy because a single cycle of skills can cost us what you have as a TOTAL energy level. 3. Well armour goes without saying.

With those points hopefully it'll help you think and I need a few things in return.
1. Tell me where I can find a fire attune that gives me 1.5k damage cause I think I picked up a defect.
2. Can you show me this rule book I seemed to have missed, like post a forum link to it, cause when I started game I didn't find anything that states that rogues have to be best dps hands down no questions asked.
3. Find me one instance where a Mage is supposed to have crappy hits and low damage, once this is found please also foward to any future movie directors, book writers, game enthusiasts, and anything of the sorts because they obviously need to balance classes in movies too, it's just not fair

And as a final, please....PLEASE, compare to another class and see how horrible this topic sounds.

Mages- best energy healer
Mages- best burst damage
Mages- best overall dps
Mages- best indirect dps
Mages- best pvp
Rogues- about the same dps as a mage
Rogues- a bit better at soloing then a mage(but not the best)
Rogues- second best burst damage.

When you compare like that its easy to see.

Great, i read this the first time you said it at the start of the topic. I want you to adress the other points I made if that's be ok.
In update 3 it stated when you first made a charc that rogues was ment to be best dps an mages was ment to be burst damage. I dont have proof but im sure im not only one who will remember this.

I was talking about ice skill not fire when this was made ice mage was a super build. I believe fore adds around 500 damage.

Now i have said mages should be best burst damage. But 1 it should take alot of enrgy (mana) 2 a long cooldown(4 seconds for firebolt wtf!) and 3 this is a game and its ment to be balanced. If mages are taking what rogues can do and doing it better and then are better at everything else what rogues can do please explain to me the point of a rogue at all. If there is no way that a rogue can be better in any way to a mage then the rogue class is underpowered and needs a boost its clear.

Rogues need a dps boost on skills and a change in a few skills and thats it. Leve mages how they are and bug up rogues a tiny bit like rend. Thats all we need. Change smoke to work more effective. Increase rend cause it sucks(needs to be doubled) change assasinate restrictions(a attack that cant be used for over 2/3 of the mob is a complete waste in skill points) make it a buff or something. That would fix rogues. Then rangers and druids new a buff and warriors taunt still needs a boost imo.
