The opinions of those I've asked on Arawn are very divided. Even on the few posts I've looked at it seems some people favour Rend over Poison Weapon.

Do you use it?

Mine is maxed, with a +3 and +4 ring makes it up to 57 Poison damage, and so far as I can tell, aside from sneaky and assassinate, the auto attack is far more powerful than the other damage skills... so why do some people not use Poison Weapon??? Also, during bossfights, I position myself next to the highest ranger or DPS warrior in the group, and I can keep both our weapons poisoned... like 57 damage is a ton!! Why would you not use this?

Bear in mind I'm only lvl 100 on my Cornhole, so I choose poison even over maxxing assassinate... but this is mostly because I double log, and if I cast poison weapon on my druid I can auto on rogue and not ks myself lol (double log lvling FTW)

because i would rather deal out 2k dmg in one hit with sneaky

i dont use poison weapon because i dont like to have to remember to keep casting, also i like rend more because my rend does auto attack dmg on first hit then up to 190 dmg per tic for its length, then i cast again- never having to stop to cast poison losing hits on the boss


i dont like casting things that arent direct outcome, taking the second to cast poison isnt worth the time IMO when i could have thrown an auto attack and rend in that time span

I'm a rogue that's very heavy on the tank side and I kick some serious ass. If it's done right, rogue tanks ain't no fools.

Does the fire cloak on bosses have something to do with poison weapon. (non rogue here)

Poison weapon does not add damage to skill hits.

did they fix the auto attack on rend on the first hit? I quit using rend cause it wasnt getting fixed and if the first auto attack was actually a damage tick i could never make it up so i pulled all the points out. I use sneaky, quick, poison and assassinate all maxed some with rings also, assassinate up to 40/30 and the rest in reflexes. I cast poison weapon on other in some boss fights and I think it helps the clan as a whole. I also have a +4 ring for poison weapon.

Posion wep does add damage to skills hit. It is even displayed in the skill menu. Check damage your assanate does, cast posion wep, recheck it, it's more.
