Does weight ever effect your skills?

im not entirely sure but i dont think it effects the skills. But it does effect your energy :(

Effecting energy is effecting skills.
Lower energy means less mana to cast things

Weight has no "Direct" effect on skills.
At this time, it only indirectly effects skills by lowering your maximum energy amount.

Would think weight should effect fumble chance and also move speed

If it effected fumble we finally stop seeing all mages having plate on

I believe fumble is only based on skill and ability level.
Move speed is a non-variable.
The only plate armor mages can wear is pre update.

Just saying most games going back to table top if over weight fumbles happen more often

That was generally the case, unless you had an above average bonus towards your saving throw.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you could usually negate being overburdened if you simply had around 1d10+4 (1d20+6) saving throw bonus for fumbled rolls.

It's been a few years, so I might be a bit rusty with my numbers.

Actually been a while for me playing 3.5 defentlly a Mage. That idk the rolls of hand.
