I'm lvl 53 rouge with strength and vitality build but can't decide wether to get a Trident or Gold dagger

Wut no way, the trident is a tank weapon, the offhand dagger has poison dmg which mobs dont have armor for. It does more dmg so the dagger is good for rogues being a dps wep

You must not forget that venom does not add any stats an preferably id take 100 dmg with stats then 120 without any, trident

The dagger does 150 dmg and the point of being a dps us dmg not having tons of regen

If you have a 1/4 dex 1/4 str 1/2 vit build, the dagger will be better due to dex boosting poison damage and str boosting piercing damage.
if you want a more skill based character then you should go with the trident.
If you want a more auto oriented character then go with the dagger

It's a matter of preference. Both regen the same, though I'm more direct towards trident since it basically adds everything, hp energy defense, STR and dex, not to mention heat/cold/magic damage. Whereas golden venom, well it just adds attack hp energy. If you're an all STR build, why go out of your way to gain a dex boost? Why not keep the STR going and get a blade instead?

i have tried both, i reccomend the venom dagger. it does more damage, and still adds health and energy. tridents kinda suck.

i prefer trident for decent soloing, yes dagger outdpsed trident, but trident is very good for soloing and decent all rounder build

15 rejuv (the energy mostly matters)
100 defence - nice boost for dodging
100 health and energy - both decent boosts
45 str - all str skills affected, the 30 extra str from blade dont affect much on rogue with questline daggers
45 dex - since dex is a boss stat, a boost to all solo skills, while getting the 45 attack (which is almost half of dagger's attack) and 90 defence, which is a great addition and a total of 190 defence
