Bossing problem

Hello fellow rogues, I appear to have a bit of a bossing problem, I don't know whether other people experience these problems but when I fight a boss I always appear to lock the kill, I'm a dps all about the skills, what gets annoying is that people say oh we can't do this without a tank, and yet when we have a tank I get lock and usually die, any suggestions, is it me or is it that tanks suck on Gwydion? :?:

Maybe a little of both. I have a great tank and he can hold agro even if I am spamming skills. If he isn't there I get smashed. Try using distract. If you have a druid, try calm. Even at lvl 1 helps.
Maybe a unwanted distract ring in your bank you can grab for bossing?

The distract skill is ur best guess but tanks should have taunt to keep the aggro to themselves, and they should also have warcry, if they dont their not really tanks for bossing

thats why i always say that low lvls tanks are crap, they cant hold aggro as well, yes they can get high health with gear, but still they wont be holding aggro too good
unless those tanks are just using shields but taunt on lvl 1 or not maxed or something

higher lvl tank wont lose aggro with maxed taunt

The main thing is, you will have a hard time finding a real tank near lvl 100. You're a lvl 100 rogue expecting to have a real tank to keep aggro, but most warriors around 100 lvl aren't tanks, rather hybrid dps for leveling. Either be your dps self and up your distract to lose aggro ("locking a kill", sounds like "target lock" which is totally different) or focus on having a build for leveling not dps, and being able to take some hits.

Skills also gain much more aggro than auto. If you are starting to get aggro, just auto and don't use skills for a little (tank should really be keeping aggro either way).

Yeah that's the thing I take the kills from level 130-50 tanks

Allow the tank to taunt a few times before attacking. This should allow them to have sufficient aggro, before you attack.

Sneaky attack gains you tons of aggro, as do some other skills including shadow strike, and quick strike I believe?

also, idk why you would want to, but casting poison weapon on the aggro'ed char will give u tons of aggro

Nice!! you need to find a real tank then, or need to manage your aggro with distract. Trust me if you played with a real tank you cannot take aggro away from them when they establish it.
