Hey everyone,

I am thinking of swapping out my gold blade of magic for a trident.. I have a solo build that is affected by the str boost of the blade and am doing well with it. However I solo lvl so I need regens especially now that I am lvling on pirates. Would using a trident instead of a gold blade yield similar damage if you change you build to fit the trident more?? ( I already have full warden, hero rejuv, hero gloves, and quartz dagger)

Never get a trident, get a dagger of venom, and use a good strenght also the piercing damage will be worth

I used a trident during early update 3 and I found them usefull in soloing situations. You have quite a bit of lux so I would suggest keeping magic blade if you can solo level decently. With a certain build I don't think it will out dps the gold blade other than the regen factor. It would only increase your dps greatly if you had no regen and the trident was your first regen. It would allow you to cast more skills and increase your dps.

a trident wont really outdps the blade, unless ofc u had high lack of energy regen while using the blade (like jacoby said, if trident would be ur first rejuv item)
now, im not a fan of poison dagger, it does have higher dps, but for soloing, i prefer the trident

I dont care about pvp, so i wont try to advice that, but as for rejuv, both trident and dagger give 15 health and energy regen, the differences are the other bonuses (such as dmg, defence/attack, stats/no stats)

The Trident, it adds more bonuses and also has regen which is a big plus. I didn't find the golden dagger as useful when I was leveling.

Probably because you didnt have much str, my overall dps with venom dagger is better than with trident, most str based rouges would agree with me on this. Slaying dagger boosts your damage a lot more so im working towards buying one.

I used the golden dagger of venom, and later the trident, and the dagger is better for strength rogues. I had almost the same damage with a golden blade as with my golden dagger. If you are a dex rogue, then perhaps go for trident.
