ROGUES ARE NOT NORMAL CLASSES. THAT IS RULE 1. ROGUES ARE EXTREMELY FINA INSTRUMENTS THAT ARE NESSISARY TO ALL BOSS FIGHTS. IF YOU ARE NOT DOING IT CORRECTLY, NO MATYER HOW GOOD THE STRATAGY, THR BOSS ISN'T DIEING.
The 3 Laws of Bieng a Rouge
1.Rogues are squishy and should be treated as such, a DPS rouge woun't be able to hold off a boss for long, a tank that WONT LOOSE AGRO is essential for the DPS rouge.
2.Rouges suck agro and should be protected by the tank at all times. A dead rogue isnt doing dps.
3.The rouge is an instrument and should be finely tuned. A dead rouge isn't doing dps, a rouge without energy isn't doing dps, a rouge that has too much health isn't doing dps, a rouge with too much energy isn't doing dps. Finding the balance between damage and suevivability is crucial.
Skill and stat setup
Rouges have a choice of the stat they invest in, Streangth or Dexterity. This desucion is crucial and unique to the rouge who uses it, but here is a sugested setup: Most in dexterity, some in streangth, barely enough in vitality, and usimg mostly gear that adds streangth, with some that adds dex, and barely enough that adds direct damage.
Best dps armour and weapons for each level.
Jewelry should only cobtain enery regenaration items and dex/ str + items.This is more like a primer than a guide, it shows you the gear that will give you maximum DPS output.
1-19: Greater midsummer armour is ypur friend, so is the ancient langsax and the golden bodkin of spirits.
20-39: Here, lesser solcetice would be your bff, ancient langsax and bodkin of spirits are still to be used.
40-59:At these levels, you should use the greater solstice armour, (50+) the Golden trident of ice and your langsax.
60-79:now, it begins getting expensive. Full lesser Earthstone armour eould be the beat compliment to your DPS, still using the trident but swapping the langsax for a Quartz dagger.
80-99: you can niw upgrade to Greater Earthstone. Using a trident and a diamond dagger.
100-119:*final earthstone upgrade* You can bow access the radiant earthstone. And the level 100 luxury vendor, best for this level would be the dagger of slaying, still using your diamond dagger.
120-139:Here, full radiant earthstone would still be the best, and a dagger of slaying would still be the best, though ademant vendor has a new dagger for you...
140-159:You can sell that onld earthstone set, Beastbone has a new Ancient series (and ficha has some Dragonlord gloves and boots for you) but dont get too exited, all that gold ypu just made off the es set? Kiss it goodbye! New wyrmbone dagger and Axe of conquest are out!
160-179:Complete that dragonlord set of armour and throw a dragonlord dagger in there, still using the axe.
180-200: Dragonlord armour should still be the best unless you have a mordris helm, tboae are good too... A dragonlord dagger shpuld still be good unless you have a mordris spear, those are good (or a necromancer dagger*)
Thpugh maybe the axe is still good?.. NOPE!(on normal mobs it is though) ypu can get a new Dragonlord rondel!
Now that ypur tired and bankrupt, no boss should be able to stand in your clans way of victory!
