Hello, I'm wondering why to go spear rogue can someone give me pro's and con's (Preferably by someone who's 140 has used Wrymbone dagger and spear)

The only advantage of playing spear is that, for me, it's a lot more fun. Other than that, the dagger is better.

Rogues use spears once they get mordris ones or better so you seldom see people under 180 using them. For the most part unless its a void it won't be better than a dl mainhand and even the void isn't much better so people use them over ancient wyrmbone typically.

Actually if you are 110-135 aggy tridents are pretty darn good and give better dps than an adamant dagger.

At 140-179 the wyrmbone dagger and ancient wyrmbone dagger are significantly better than the spears. Remember a fast weapon gives better dps from elemental/poison damage.

Disclaimer - you need your spear ability maxed which is slow because all spears are slow.

I use a spear build with a 1:1:1 str/dex/vit base stat spread. Max shadowstrike, quick strike, double attack, riposte, and extra points into fast reflexes. Skewer and rend are used at level 1 for auto attacking without triggering cloaks.

I use radiant earthstone, spectral reaper ring, spectral midnight talisman, fiery triumph axe, adamant spear, etc.

In the past I used a cruel knife with a 3:2 dex/vit build, but I was tired of dying to cloaked bosses and players so I switched to spear. Auto attacking a riposted rogue with a cruel knife would be suicide.

Unavoidable double attack damage, high (but slow) auto attack damage, enough damage skills to completely avoid cloaks, and great skill damage. On haste/combo lixes, the DPS is amazing. My build also works OK in pvp, as long as I'm not fighting a warrior.

Spears are fun, they look cool too so its fun to play and its fun to land heavy hits with, but as im a slowass main warrior i find dagger rogues much more fun.
