I've talked to some people about the upcoming update, and they reckon armor will be class-restricted (eg. Rogues cannot wear plate). Can somebody confirm this?

When it was in beta, the armor was class specific and, Rogues could not wear plate.
However, I think they are making it so, if you are already wearing plate, you can continue to wear it.
Do not quot me lol. I am not sure.

Forgot where I read this, but I'm sure it came from either an admin or richard:
They are bringing class restricted armor into the game, but are also bringing in armor that all classes can wear. Not sure if that includes plate or not, but I imagine it will.

During beta, plate was only for Warriors.
I am not sure if it will be when the update goes live.

All current plate armor will stay the same. This should only effect post-update drops.

So, everyone that joins after the update get a big "to bad for you."
I personally think that, everyone that isn't a Warrior that is wearing plate should have to adjust to what their class should be wearing.
Even if they joined before the update.

I am wearing a platebody so if the update happens i will still be wearing it unless it automatically un-equips it...

you can still wear your embossed plate if you have it. i bought a whole set of the new armor, but am only wearing the chest and legs because of the low weight. it's still a bit of a drop in armor from the plate though so i kept my boots and gloves on. and the chess quest helm is by far better than the new rogue helm. keeping that on as well.
