Enough vit to survive where you lix (should be pirates and then at about 90 move to OW eyes- no more than 700 needed), enough focus to cast comfortably (I'd give myself about 500, occasionally pop a resto. you'll be lixing on combo so thats a 30-60% boost), and rest into dex. The reason you really don't need str is because you should be skilling poison weapon- low level mobs have horribly low resist to poison. 100+ extra auto damage from poison weapon covers more than piling all of your points into str would. Plus, you already should have some from gear. SS, qs, lifesteal, ripo. SS is huge damage at lower levels, as it does poison damage. Quick strike isn't bad either. Lifesteal should help you survive a little bit longer without using restos- it's a dex-based skill so you can power it up pretty high. Ripo is essential, as it does a load of damage to enemies who attack you.
As for gear...darkshadow is fine for now. At 80 I would recommend using warden armor and taking points out of foc/vit and dumping them more into dex, as aura will give a significant boost to health and energy. Later upgrade to meteoric. I would start buying shop daggers at about 100. Until then, your autos really hardly matter because you'll be relying 90% on your skills. At 100, buy a shop dagger and a poison/pierce offhand. It should add nice regen along with excellent auto damage boost. At about that level onyx and obsidian quests unlock, which is too op- it adds poison damage to autos. Get that at any cost. Try to get aggy or spider skill rings for quick strike and poison weapon to swap, permanent equip ss ring and/or comrak/jalan bloodthorn set, or an aggy direct damage ring (40+). If you don't have access to a comrak or jalan set, you might want to buy a lux ammy (sun, stalker, or hunter). Starting at about 120, you'll see which strategy works best for you, and which is your favorite. You'll have to go into frozen build for locks until you get that. After frozen (140-ish), you'll be able to get bone armor, which is also nice, as it adds significant boosts to certain skills. I would continue buying shop daggers every 40-50 levels, or until you see that your autos really stop doing much damage on the mobs you lix on. Make sure you lix on combos!
That should be enough of a guide for a while. See which lix areas give you best xp. If you still need help later on, feel free to ask. What I said is pretty much the classical rogue lix build. GL!
