confusion

#1
Ok so i was wondering, does dexterity even matter if you you have a high ability, like sword or dagger? What do abilities even do? Does having a very high ability like over 1k allow you to not have hardly any dex and still hit almost every time. Sorry but this is just really confusing, would love the input, thanks guys.

Dexterity isn't just used for attack, but also for defense. Making it to where you dodge more, you will stay alive longer and a dodge can make a huge difference in training and bossing situations. Every 1 dexterity point increases both your attack and defense stat by one point. I personally do not use dexterity for making contact for hits, I usually use ability and gear for it, but being a tank you don't necessarily need to land your blows, I use earthstone on my rogue for the attack and defense so it makes it to where you can sacrifice dex. The real thing that I look at for dexterity is defense and IMO, dexterity really does matter even with high abilities.

Correction: One point in dexterity gives 1 attack and 2 defence.

Yes, even with maxed abilities, dexterity helps you to miss less often. A weapon ability not only adds attack, but also damage.
