A dps tank is basicaly a mixed warrior. Any class is able to tank (Not everything), but armor is what helps a warrior. So if you are going to be a mixed warrior, your role is most likely going to be dps for most fights in your clan. As a mix, you are also able be a secondary tank, which is a tank but not first in line.

Dexterity is the bridge between dps and tank, so some dex will help in both roles.

This is my suggested ratio for what you are looking for: 2:1:2 (STR:DEX:VIT)
At your level, your stats will look like this: 126 63 5 126

One dexterity gives one attack and two defense.

Attack is accuracy and defense is the chance to dodge/block.

my lvl 85 is a dps tank atm, 125 str rest on health, 125 is required to use wk spear, can tank everything but the new redskin 6star bosses. but i suggest u go one way, if u want dps make a rogue, if u wana tank stay the way u r, 50 str all on health. new bosses are really diffcult to tank with high strength. a dps warrior is useless compare to a rogue the same lvl. when grouping for boss people rather just take rogue as dps, warrior as tank, unless ur way higher lvl than others, noone will choose a dps/tank. unless is ur good freinds/clanny.

I'm a tank now, but in a previous version of me (when red bosses didnt exist) i was an effective mixed warrior and i simply split my stats between strength and health - had a winter king sword at the time with heroic gloves and all was good. Hit hard and could take a few too.

Although times have changed and a tank is more valuable to boss fights than a mix - so let the rouges do their job (hit hard) and us tanks take the punishment...lol

Dps tanks are still very good in groups IMO. Ive been both a tank and dps warrior. Dps warrior u need rejuv amulet and a high dmg weapon of course. 125 str is not a dps warrior as the damage will not be that high. But dps warriors still do great dmg if ur build is good and you play it right.

My current build is 250/5/5/200. So I can tank most things still. Some I can't but with a few good Druids and a high lvl abundance buff I get close to tanking the hard bosses. I am however a secondary tank in the group which is good because then I can use frenzy and increase my dmg more. I hit just as hard as rouges my level my hits are slower but I still hit hard and even end up pulling agro from boss a good bit and can normally get in a boss group.

I have winterking hammer and spam skills. Pummel, swing, pummel. Then a nonskill hit then pummel, swing pummel.
Repeat.

Just a reminder, DPS is a rate of which damage is done. You can hit 1000 every 5 seconds, but 500 every 2 is still better.

This being said, one handed weapons are -in most cases- the best for dps (with an offhand).

Take speed for example. Traveling 10m in 5s versus 5m in 2s. The first is 2m/s which is slower than 2.5m/s. DPS is the same. If you calculate dps for a set time, you will notice a difference. For 20s, the first would be 40m and the second would be 50m. Mind you, distance can be replaced by damage as it is still a rate.

Sir blaze is correct on meelee hits it's better to have a fast weapon and do same damage with more hits. However if you spam skills there is no wait on the slow larger dmg weapons ie winter king hammer. If I just melee hit it takes a while between the swings. However if u pummel. Swing pummel you get those 3 hits in by the time u would get to hit the swing again in a normal melee hit. So if it's possible to spam skill hits then the larger more dmg weapons will do a better job dpsing.
