Why in the world would you use swing over pummel .-.

Because unless you have the right gear, swing is better than pummel, at least IMO

Swing isn't a bad skill.. There is just a better replacement for it which is pummel.

For me, Swing hits much more than pummel. I don't know why....but it does. That was the reason I replaced pummel with double in my build instead of giant swing. If it had been the other way around, I would have switched double for giant.

Yes, the cast time means something as well. Pummel casts a little faster than swing but for me was hitting about like I was throwing a pillow at my enemies. Speed isn't everything either.

If it was instant cast I might agree with you.

Not only its much faster, it has high dmg, while speed isnt everything, speed and dmg beats dmg.

Ur gear for pummel might suck compared to swing, i tried both, swing sucked and didnt even hit close to max on weak mobs.

I don't have pummel gear except a plus 3 ring, while I do have a +80 damage charm for giant swing. My point is, unless you have the right gear, it might be better to use swing. Obviously pummel can be better, but without any pummel gear....

Then dont expect pummel to be extremely strong with weak gear, with the right gear, lvling wise, its ur strongest skill (besides shatter), with the highest speed.
