In my case, this is what I do:
Switch to Axe (+3 to shatter), cast Shatter, Rupture, and Pummel, then switch to my Spear, cast Double Attack and Skewer. Until both Shatter and Rupture cool down, I keep autoing using the Spear. Then the process starts all over again!

I just switch from void str spear to despoiler hammer.

As a tank, for EG bosses, i prefer EDL sword with a haste and attack lix and EDL shield for offhand (even if I'm not tanking the boss).

The speed and divine dmg proc from the sword and 200 divine dmg from shield has to be better then anything else you can equip (this is my opinion I have run no tests to support my claim).

We have void poison spear, gele axe, godly event axe, etc. I would still use edl wep and offhand for raids.

I am also speaking as a permanent full tank. Perhaps the high damage of other weps is more effective when you have a DPS build with DPS skills. I just think the warrior EDL sword and shield are under estimated for DPS.

The sword isnt understimated for DPS for few reasons :

All swords boosting items suck.
The slash dmg is rather low compared to the void spear, let alone gele axes (while the speed isnt that amazing unlike dagger nor opens specific skills unlike dagger).
Warrior is restricted to use Rupture with axe or hammer only, the swapping every 15 secs makes the melees interrupt more often, thus u proc less. Rupture vs Divine Strike, Rupture wins, especially combined with a lot more dmg, attack and str u can get from mordy halberd.

In this case blunt is only used for rupture. So blunt ability doesn't affect the accuracy of Landing rupture. (Melee combat does that.) but, having blunt ability maxed will add a small (very small and almost unnoticeable) amount of damage to your hits/rupture.

Blunt ability increases your damage while using a hammer which increases ruprures damage on hit because your weapon damage is added into that. This is different to the melee combat abikity increasing the dot of the skill.

I believe mele ability also increases the impact damage of rupture but i havnt used my warrior in months so dont hold me to that

^Yes, obviously melee combat increases Rupture's dmg on impact.

I disagree I think for a tank divine damage proc and wep speed are superior to what you are describing. Honestly i think physical damage is very weak at end game so imo more divine damage and faster wep speed wins out.

My level 200 alt warrior just got another mord kill, using void str ice halberd. Obviously no divine dmg rings/edl set, skills at 40 as well so not close to max potential. Beat 3 220+ rogues all on haste and attack lix, all have dl rondels, one or two have edl dagger. Void attack helms on two. I helped on adds a similar amount. My first mord kill beat a edl bow/quiver ranger also on attack/haste. Still waiting to hear back from all the edl sword warriors getting kills over elite competition more than half the time...

Personally I dont use the EDL sword, and I do have 2 mordy 2 necro 1 hrung kills.
