How do I put this.... Most of your dps comes from autos. In pure dps setup for warriors the skills are rupture shatter dbl frenzy and pummel. The str of the axe is only good for frenzy scale(but it's also based on % of auto dmg, which the dagger has more so balances), and rupture dmg. You will be using hero hastes while lixing so don't bring up the dagger gives 30% speed argument o.o. Also there is no pure skill or pure auto setup. If u really wanna go balls deep, swap a 2h weapon for rupture and double attack and use dagger + halberd for autos. The axe is only good while it has its elements lure on the mobs always, which is not practical in most cases.

At midgame, you don't see many players using hastes at bosses and bosses have high defense there for making the main damage outcome from skills.. When I used an axe before my halbred days, I hardly ever relied on my autos, I only relied on autos to deal that last few damage so I don't have to use another skill to take out the mob, this is why you see waaaaay more people using axes because many players at midgame use axes and find the axe to be more effective while using skills. I'm not saying that anything is right or wrong, I'm just speaking for the majority of midgame players. Many of which have no idea what to use once they get their hands on a halbred.

I said heroic hastes for LIXING. Bossing isn't a priority for midgame. If you're not using hero hastes for leveling with a halberd, you should. Almost double the speed gain vs regular 30% hastes.

At midgame you shouldnt rely so heavily on skills. Tbh it doesnt really change from 180-200-220. Dagger will always be est in a true dps build. Done the testing with both in the tower.

Fill up the extra slot with a valour ring. Makes up the lost attack. Part of the str and adds health. Dagger adds higher damage than axe. Valour ring boosts it further with health boost. Also you get haste.

Dagger wins. End of story

Midgame is roughly frozen-dl. Warriors in this range have preferred to use an axe for years because they are smart enough to realize the difference of effectiveness. Axes don't do a ton of damage at this lvl range so many people don't rely on autos, 80% of their damage comes from skills. When was the last time you guys have had a toon in the frozen range?

You say midgame and frozen but your op says 180/200 offhand and halbard which is also a 180 weapon. That's not midgame so please clarify cause yes up to 200 most (but by no means all) warriors use the Carrow oh axe or 180 lux one.

I personally used a shield to 150 to solo level using bash shield wall and sigils to level in boggans with no restos so guess I should be saying all warriors to 150 are idiots to use anything else?

I mentioned those off hands because people in that level range are usually the ones that ask me. You just clearly didn't know what midgame is

Use a dagger if you rely on your autos for dps, ecpecially if you use a spear (halberd) due to the faster attack speed, the psn and pierce dmg

We dont know what mid game is? When you say this, as well as the name of this post. Dagger vs axe...what are we all supposed to think? The question originaly was about dagger and axe. Never once did you say frozen and dl level. At 150 warriors use the axe of conquest. Is that what you wanted us all to say? Cause if so dont say unfathomable about a mordy spear

It is simple. Use the axe oh at 100 and 150, at 180 it doesn't really matter if u get a haste dagger or axe ( tbh u could keep using the 150 axe till 200 ). At 200+ the best offhand is the runic dagger of spite, end of story.

You have gotten many answers from eg warriors, stop complaining and accept the facts.
