Use a dagger if you rely on your autos for dps, ecpecially if you use a spear (halberd) due to the faster attack speed, the psn and pierce dmg

We dont know what mid game is? When you say this, as well as the name of this post. Dagger vs axe...what are we all supposed to think? The question originaly was about dagger and axe. Never once did you say frozen and dl level. At 150 warriors use the axe of conquest. Is that what you wanted us all to say? Cause if so dont say **** about a mordy spear

Dude... My OP wasnt even a question... It was my explanation of what to use at those levels and I gave details and reasons why to use it. People straight up say dagger is better, then when people ask why, they get nothing. Just because the dagger is good at EG doesn't make it an amazing offhand to use at midgame levels. The OP was to answer questions, no response was needed at the beginning.

You said mid game is frozen-dl. Tjat means you cant even use the dagger at mid game...unless your talking about bounty dagger..

No one in mid-game uses halberd (as said in the OP) nor the dagger offhands in mid gave have pierce+poison+dex+haste (either pierce+poison or dex+haste alone), so u were talking about 180+. If u dont have a valid argument, at least dont lie to try and make urself look smarter.

Read the OP very carefully... I don't mention a specific level and I said halbred because there are players that are in the midgame range that use a halbred, not all, some. I also mentioned axe because a large majority of the players out there use an axe. Now, I recieve many questions asking which is better, an axe or dagger because they see me using the dagger. It's all common sense and logic, you actually have to look at the stats, compare the stats, think of the different situations, and then look at how the stats will benefit your game play. Again read my post very carefully, maybe read it twice and you'll understand that my reasonings actually make sense.

Halberd is lvl 180 (aggy is trident), mid-game according to u is below 180. At lvl 180 exists the eldritch dagger of spite that beats the eldritch axe. U can go on like that forever, but no one listens to the person who doesnt listen or doesnt test, and we know he doesnt test cus his reasoning is horrible.

The dagger isnt dependent on the mainhand. Frenzy's dmg is affected by 3 things : Str, Melee Combat and Physical Damage. The str from axe doesnt get u more dmg than the physical dmg from dagger does. Dagger's pierce dmg multiplied by both Str AND Frenzy + it's poison dmg beats the axe offhand's dmg and str and attack even without the dex, but the dex is also 120 attack so u dont lose the whole attack bonus from axe. Then theres the haste, the haste does even more justice to the dagger, but the haste isnt even a factor on the dagger being superior. What else pierce may be resisted, but theres Lure of Assassins, Shatter AND necro dagger that decreases armour, all which stack, thus u can go beyond 2000 pierce resistance reduced very easily.

Saying the haste is better for sword and spear (fastest and slowest weapons) but not for hammer and axe (mid speed weapons), thats idiotic logic. The str bonus to Rupture isnt enough.

I personally like axe offhand cuz I got reaper ring. But If you got haste ring i'd take haste ring out and use dagger. Dagger= haste + free ring spot.

Ive tried reaper over valour, gained 200 attack elixed and lost 100str/600hp

Why not just both? They're just as good as one and other in specific situations. And also all I see only DPS warriors replying on this thread. I'd agree with ghostly about where end-game sits, at 180. End-game 215+. I thought axe would have been the better option if leveling, I personally used to use a shadow halberd and the lvl200 axe with pummel and shatter which were perfect IMO. But DPS warrior at end-game bossing I'd choose the spite (unless at necro) hands down.

@Crim wouldn't reaper poison skill easily out DPS valor ring? The CD is pretty quick and you're gaining a good amount of attack (depending on your attack). Gaining 100 strength is what? 60 damage? And without lure 20-30? Idk whats the go with frenzy, I've never really liked it.
