yes but it would be more tanky to get a skill that can actually protect you for more than a few seconds imo
and its recharge is slow (or so i hear) and the energy cost is ridiculous

a tank would have to have some energy gear or put some point into focus to use this skill multiple times
energy gear is probably for a tank (talisman of stars+frozen bonus)
but thats not enough to use shield wall/proc stance/defense formation/enduring gaurd continuously

DefFormation is the skills that requires the most energy. Also, if helps you get hit less/take less damage or no damage should be considered a tanky skill. No other warrior build uses shield except full tanks. How is it not a tank skill?

from what i hear shield bash takes up more energy than defensive formation

and just because a skill requires a shield doesnt make it a tank skill
it could be meant for hybrid-tanks that use a shield or something

Unless that hybrid tank knows how to switch between a shield and offhand correctly i doubt they would use at all.

i used that pre update
pre update i was hybrid, had both dps offhand and shield
used shield bash, proc stance, taunt, pummel, giant swing

but yea u need to know when to change to shield and bash, not for lvling tho. just bosses, mostly before speical skills like woody's thorns, pyrus' eruption, drags' healing and etc.

yeah i thought cool strategy before update for support would be to swap between sword and shield right before a boss heals/aoe/etc and shield bash them so he doesnt heal or kill all the rogues or something

Ok guys, stand back. Pro tank/hybrid coming through. This a good way if you buy lux. Definitely a heroic ammy. Put all your stats on vit. Every single freaking stat point. Then at lvl50... buy a blade!! That is a beautiful build. Full vit, gold blade/axe heroic ammy. Throw some hero gloves in there if you can afford it. That build is somewhat of a tanky hybrid.

If you do not buy lux. Get 30-50 focus. No dex. And keep str and vit close.

Thats a tank build. But heres what im using now
Im a lvl 100 warrior
100 str
50 dex
10 foc
I forgot but everything else in vit

works out pretty well

I don't see anyone mentioning that shield bash also helps you pull aggro.
This would make it a tank skill but it is useful whether you are a tank or not.
My warrior is a noob but I use shield bash to keep those DoT and run Druids from getting away.

I also have a question.
Wouldn't a hybrid be someone who can do more dps than a full tank but is also to some extent able to take on a tanks role by holding aggro and taking the hits?
So in order to really be a hybrid don't you need taunt?
Some warriors I know say otherwise, namely, that they are a hybrid but they don't have any tank skills so even if they have the hp to tank they won't get the aggro over a rogue or a mage (or even a healing druid at times)

true edelric (fullmetal alchemist xD) but most would like to go more dps than tank for leveling purposes
so they would have dps skills + proc stance and maybe defensive form
they would have dps gear

but their stats would be full vit making that somewhat of a tank

its not like you could call someone with every single stat point in vit a dps or a hybrid

and shield bash as an aggro skill would not make any sense
use taunt or warcry or something

isnt 2 aggro skills enough?
