Tanking guide

#1
First of all, complete questline adding 2foc 3vit per lvl until 20 then take a trip to cata and get plate set and tower shield (dont get a sword stick to shoreline)then once u can afford it, buy def form enduring guard and shieldwall tomes, maxing prot stance and taunt first and then adding points to other skills and at 55, if u can afford it, get the pages for warcry and dump taunt for it, then do quests, then lvl, using groups and fetts, then get warden as soon as possible, armor first, sword last DONT EQUIPT ANY METEOR UNTIL U GET THE FULL SET! Then keep lvling until u can get frozen, then wrymbone, and anc wrymbone for the skills that u use, then get dl quickly, and try to get a mordris battle by then so u can get a skull, as it dosent take off the effect get the dl set not folloing earlier rules about not equipping armor before full set as dl is very strong without full set, and deadlier with full set, and u boss with dl bp,legs, gloves, boots, shield, sword, and a mordris helm then u r ready to go into the real world, and lvl up in groups and find ur own path, but remember to get Lux when u can afford it! I suggest a shield of mountain (for a while) hero ammy until 100 then talisman of earth, and talisman of stars at 150 but at 100 if u can afford it buy a 1mil health regen, energy shield ammy then get it, 10hp regen brac and a bracelet of life, ring of life, ring of regen, and beltane hp increase rings and if u can get a 1mil dragonstaff to help get to bossfights, and any better equiptment as u notice it
Gl and a lvling guide is posted by sirblaze, it is highly effective

Very interesting. Even though I am not trying to be a tank atm, this has useful info. Would be easier to read with better use of punctuation and paragraphs, and would probably come across as longer too, so it could get stickied.

I can see, as an experienced forum user and MMO player, why more details would be needed. Thanks for the guide, keep up the good work!

If your not experienced.... Then why would this be stickied? Lol

First of all, there is no point purpose or reason to be a tank at level 20. Leveling is far more of a priority.

You say this guide is so people know what armor and lux to get? It is no mystery that meteoric frozen bone and dl armor exists, and that each is better than the last. Not like someone is going to try dauntless over dragonlord, lol.

So you suggest warden, meteoric, frozen, bone, ancient, then dragonlord. Well i don't think you can get dragonlord before warden. And i think everyone would work towards dl armor, since it is the best armor in the game and everyone knows that and have known from the beginning of update four. Don't think we need to be reminded on that. Now obviously you are not aware of all the equipment out there, you suggest a 10 hp regen bracer? Over aggy hrung and mordris bracers? You obviously are not aware of them. Then you suggest your listed rings over the ring that adds 75 vit in the Yule lux? You don't just "get into a mordris battle". You have to be in one of the best top clans that is powerful enough to take them.

I am not aware of any high level tank that does not have a staff.

Explain the stat ratio 2/3 foc vit? Why the foc? You will end up wasting tons of points and will not be near as effective a tank as you could have been.

You obviously do not have much experience of level 190s, only being a level 25, please come back later with more experience. With how much damage you have in your stats there is no way you can be leveling "fine".

I am not saying that i am an expert, i am only 115, i am simply pointing out the obvious.
