Soooo some friends talked me into buying a shield. To have some fun i wanna pvp with shield and main hand not bash then swap offhands. Has anyone used or knows a build for papers who use a shield skills and stats. (Using lvl 150 bastion shield). Also taking hybrid builds.

well shield would mean shield wall and bash, i guess that u will do proc stance, bash to the lvl u need, shatter, double to the lvl u need, rupture (which i highly suggest), and rest in shield wall

u will have some extra pts + mostly pts from double and bash, if u have extra for 6th skill (which means shield wall maxed), do def form (didnt suggest that since most of duels are fast, less melee, more skills, completely useless against mages so as proc stance, but proc is great for rogues and etc. , mostly rogues with sneaky)

This would most be effective if you can switch to a DPS offhand after bashing. You should also practice your weapon switches; I've heard about a person who can cast shield wall with a offhand axe (legitly, no glitch)

At beginning of fight, others will cast there highest damage skills on you; Right here you should wall the damage and absorb most of it. By then their skills are on cooldown, and your only worry is of their auto attacks. Quickly bash and switch to an axe and DPS away.

(I'm guessing your around 150ish) So you would want double and bash to be able to effect level 160s. (at 29) So 29/35? That's 56 skill points gone. Next, you should max protective stance to tank a few hits. 90 points gone now. If you're an axe/blunt user, put Rupture as maxed. Rupture's like the, Shadowstrike + Rend for warriors. Terrible analogy, I know.
that would be 124 points gone. Max pummel if you're a sword user, it's a decent alternative for Rupture. Then, put remaining points in shield wall, and you should be like a prison rapist.
P.S. Get rings for shield wall. I don't think 25/35 will work, but if it will then get shatter rings.
