Hey I'm still pretty noobish. Lvl 45 hybrid warrior. Just wondering about the best way to go about aquiring/upgrading my weapons.

I've got a giants great sword (with sword ability at 270) and a sapphire maul (blunt 270 as well).

I've read that swords are the prevailing weapon (only endgame choice). Don't know if that's completely accurate...

Just wanted to get some input from more experienced players. Thanks in advance!

Spears are end-game warrior weapons.

Swords are the end-game quest rewards, but they aren't that great.

So you'd recommend switching to training the spear ability now then?

I'd say it's a little early for that.

Maybe once you get your hands on an aggy trident (at 110), then you can start improving spear.

Until then, you should stick with warden weapon and meteoric weapon which are both swords. You unlock the warden weapon at the stone circle in Lirs Reach at around level 80 I think, and meteoric is at 105 or something.

At level 45 maybe grab a connacht weapon from shalemont and use those until something better drops.

Also I've heard about upgrading weapons. Does this just mean upgrading from warden to meteoric? Or can you upgrade any weapon?

For now you can only upgrade quest weapons and armour.

Although OTM does want to implement crafting in the future to enhance (upgrade) any piece of equipment.

I disagree, drop sword as soon as u can. Axe or hammer for Rupture until u settle down with a spear (if u want aggy sure, but Id wait for mordy).

Drop sword all together, pick up a spear or axe/hammer. those are your best bets. when you can but the flint pike (29.5k) buy it, its really good for its lvl.
