If i hot swap my mord spear for a lvl 1 axe to cast rupture, am i doing wrong or does axe damage matter or is rupture based primarly from str stat?

Not sure if i need to buy an updated axe or any axe works even level 1 just to cast rupture and swap back to spear?

Axe damage matters, but dont buy a too extremely slow axe. Get an axe or hammer that can boost str/meleecobat/high dmg but with medium speed so u wont spend too long casting it. For example, despoiler hammer adds 350 rupture dmg and some melee combat, thats decent.

You can cast rupture with spear in mainhand using cg axe as offhand, not sure if it works with other axe offhands

Both damage and speed are taken into account
I recommend swapping a despo hammer personally.
