I started playing this game never expecting to play this long and forgot my password as soon as I created it. I checked the box to save my password and knew I could never start another character until that was resolved. I emailed tech support when I'm sure they were busy with the last patch adding OW etc. but never heard back from them. A couple weeks ago I was fumbling with my phone and managed to edit my password. There was no way to cancel out of the screen and I knew I changed something but didn't know what. Ultimately I managed to delete my password altogether. I followed tech support guidance, created anew character, and submitted an in-game report. That was a couple weeks ago and I've still heard no response even if it's to say they can't help me or they need more verification. I spent six months of my life getting my character to level 90 and now tech support can't reply after weeks? I don't know which bothers me more, potentially losing my level 90 character or that I can't get any response from tech support.
I could never associate an email address with that character since I never remembered my password but tech support has to see that the character hasn't been touched in weeks, which never happenened when I did have access to the account. If tech support asked me about the kind of stuff I had or any kind of history they could see, I'd be happy to provide it but at this point I have to assume they just don't care about people who spend way too much time on this game. I suppose the next step is to see what it takes to hack into my own account - and a new hacker is born.

#2Not that anyone commented or seemed to care but to their credit, Admin did finally reset my password. Thanks Admin.
Re: Can't access character and no response from tech support
#3Glad to hear it was sorted, sorry it took so long.
In regards to hacking, the servers have never been hacked, and in the end we are finding that people who say they have been 'hacked' ended up having sharing their password out with other people who then logged in and took their account.

#4I think the term "hacking" that is used here (and in game) isn't anyone saying that the servers were hacked, but that the players username/password were guessed... It's just a term. I've seen it used a heap of time, I've used the term a heap of times.
Never has anyone said "oh man otm's servers are crap they have hacked them and picked my lvl 90 warrior to mess with instead of that lvl 150 warrior"
That's because the term has been used to say that someone has guessed their password, or oops I forgot I loaded my username and pw in that .tk site months ago...
Anyway, I think that people take the work hacking too literally... It's probably one of those words a software developer hates...
