In app platinum purchase won't work

So earlier today my iPod wasn't connecting to iTunes or the App Store from my iPod. To fix this problem I signed out of iTunes and signed back in. The problem was resolved. However, when I added money to my iTunes account to make a $20 in app platinum purchase, it wouldn't let me buy the platinum and the message that appeared said, "this item is for an app that was purchased by a different apple id. To buy this item with this apple id, you must first purchase the app." I looked on the Internet and on Celtic heroes support and I saw something about how you shouldn't log out of iTunes because the app will no longer recognize the apple id which is ridiculous because I signed back in with the same exact one. So here's my question, is there a way to fix this? Would deleting the app and reinstalling it work? And if that were my only choice would it also delete my level 50 account? Please help me. I'm very frustrated and disappointed.

This sounds like a very odd issue, as if you signed in with the exact same Apple ID there shouldn't be a problem.

I would suggest deleting the app from your device and then downloading it again from the App Store like you said. However, before you do this please make a note of your username and password. Your character will not be deleted if you delete the app, as all character data is stored on our server, and not on your device.
