The game takes some time getting used to... especially since it's an App game and not a PC game. I find that most App games have more bugs/quirks than console/PC games which takes some getting used to.
As for the quest, as stated, the quest giver is at the Temple of Belenus. Once you complete the Wight quest, you'll be asked to go into Dustwither Catacombs, which is that tower looking building in the graveyard, once inside you'll talk to the Druid there who will have you kill two guards, one to the left and one to the right when you go in. After killing them you go find Cannoch the other Druid, he has you kill the Obelisk (side with the cadavers). Once that is done, you go kill the Blackstone guy. After that is said and done, you go to the Castle or Southern Pass (can't remember which first) and continue the quest from there.
Any new quest on your map will show up as an Exclamation point! Completed quests will show up as a question mark. Mobs you are supposed to kill will show up as two swords crossed on your map (if they are up) if there are no mobs that are up that require killing, nothing will show up, you just have to know which area they spawn in to kill the other mobs there to get the ones you need to spawn.
The Skill tome vendors are just outside the courtyard. If you port into the castle, turn around and they're all standing there at a market looking place.
There is no way to stop the dueling/clan invite spam. Best way to stop the clan invite spam, create your own =) Buy a clan banner off someone or do enough offers to get one in the plat store. Unfortunately, depending on the device the offers may crash you every so often, happens on my iPad2.
I'd suggest reading the sub-forums to understand the game a little bit better. It is a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you don't understand MMO game mechanics in general, not saying that you don't....but for some people these types of games are more difficult if they're never played other ones like it.
If you have to go to the castle, I try to stay out of the courtyard, as to not be bombarded by trade requests/duels etc. I only go there when "necessary" to sell or bank.
Out of curiosity, what three classes are you guys playing? It would be good if you all played classes that complemented one another...You could be a semi-independent family until you find a good clan or need a clan.
