Do skill rings cause you to lose more energy? Just curious before I post a reply to another topic without looking like a complete idiot

If I understood you correctly, then yes.

E.G. You have 30/30 of a skill, and it costs 100 energy to cast.
Then you have 35/30 of a skills, the the Skill info says it costs 100 to cast. It will cost a bit more, as you are really casting a L35 skill and not L30. Unfortunately, the skill windows are not updated correctly when you have skill rings.
