Will android players be on the same servers as ios?

I think it wouldn't be smart to have them play on the same servers as us, because as we all know, as soon as a game is released on Android, it would almost instantly be hacked. Then the Android people with trillions of hacked plat and gold and possible stats/skills would come along and ruin the fun. So if they aren't on the same servers, I'll be extremely happy. Just a confirmation would be great.

Are Androids really that easy to hack? Aren't they made by Google? Anyways, the real question you should be asking is if OTM will be able to keep these hackers out.

Tablets are pretty hard to hack, not as much data accessibility.

To be honest, isn't ios being hacked at the moment as well? Have people not seen people run through walls? An Ios is a lot easier to hack

No. Ios are harder to hack. The running through walls? I did that one time, but OTM patched it so that it was impossible to start game without having those files. :( Android will definitely be easier to hack because their software is crap and not really built for games.

Dont talk about what you dont know. Its tough af to hack androids firewall. And trust me I tried for otm beta just to see if it would work. And it doesnt. Tbch I hacked ch a lot in 2011 exploited money glitches walk wherever I wanted. Jailbreak for plat. Was easy af

it is really hard to hack ios. walking through walls and changing npc texts wasnt hard, but things like money, plat and item hacking is extremely hard. those who have succeeded are banned within several hours and there are only 1-2 cases ive heard of during the time ive played. probably gonna be the same with android. im sure that otm is testing these things vigorously before releasing.

and btw, the wall hacks are no longer changeable because of the patch.

When the world of magic went android and had all on the same servers the game was hacked in days where no significant hacks were seen for over two years. Granted the people had a lvl1 all skills super crit every time no skill cool down invincible toon and went to a PvP map and laid waste to all - so they were banned pretty fast. The hacks weren't fully patched for weeks.

But it is easier to hack on androids as the devices are not as locked down as iOS and there are at least as many if not far more hacking sites that host code and ideas. The hacks that got free plat lately were one of these - no brain needed just download and cheat. Then again there were mass bans and many people lost thier toons.

Im pretty sure the gold and platinum are server based so the only way to actually hack it was to tap into the OTM servers which are located in Glasgow halfway around the world from where i am. Editing files using iFile is hardly hacking and more like modding the game to your benefit.

Umm to answer the question of this post. They will most likely start on separate servers at first and then join together after a while?

This is one of the most incorrect posts I've seen.
1. No, Android and IOS players will be on different servers. The reason for this is so that OTM can work out any Android bugs that weren't noticed in the beta without interfering with the IOS servers. After they see that everything is running smoothly, they will still keep Android worlds and IOS worlds seperate, but Android users can log into IOS worlds and vice versa.

2. You cannot generate gold or platinum, or change character stats or item stats or anything useful, unless you have access to the servers, which only OTM does.

3. It is extremely easy to modify online games on both Android and IOS, and requires the basic knowledge of typing in things on youtube.

4. The only hacks you can do are ones that dont matter (ones only you can see pretty much, like changing what things look)

5. @Lastcall...no...just no

6. @Continnum, it is not possible to hack money or plat, any cases you heard of were false, and anybody telling you otherwise is lying. See #2

7.

8. The operating system does nothing to change the ease of hacking, unless it requires games to be written in a different language. Some 12 year old can create a brand new operating system, and the difficulty of hacking a game on that would be just as easy as hacking a game on IOS. Its not the OS, its the games.

9. The only reason people say android is easier to hack is because android allows you to do things easier (this is because to do these things on IOS you need to be jailbroken, but to do these things on android, you can just download them from the google play store, with the exception of a few things which require you to be rooted). Everything you can do on Android, you can do on IOS, its just that Apple tries a little bit harder to cover it up.
