I can't use my timber from the Woodcutter

I've helped the woodcutter now a bunch of times and have many bundles of timber. Now he tells me to go to a guy to help him building defences but I can't! The guy tells me he needs some timber BUT I DO have timber!!! Please fix that!

This should be in ask for help or but fix forum. I had the same problem and meant to put a post.
Take the bundles put them in the bank and take them back out. That should fix you up.
