How do i add images to my sig?

Title says it all, i wanna put an image in my sig, but cant seem to figure it out, i tried googling bbcode for it but couldn't find it, anyone up for the challenge of explaining? Btw, threre needs to be a guide for this lol

If the image is on my device, do i have to put it on a website and get the URL?
