Yes it is possible, mod's only recently got the abillity to do this. I myself haven't done this yet since I haven't heard anything from Otm about this option. If Otm allows us to change names you can imagine we could get loads of requests.
And it could also be slightly annoying when people suddenly change their name as taking a new identity. (Well not a good identity since the rest of acc stays intact.)

I want to change my name too but haven't done it yet. I brought this function to the Admin in an earlier post and hopefully we get some light on this soon.

Ok, forum mods are allowed to change names.
If anyone wants a name change they should provide us with a valid reason and pm us.
Also make sure you are sure what name you want because we won't keep changing your names. Around once a year a person to avoid people playing around with name changes.

In your case Slash1, the forum name Rendel has already been taken. So whoever wants a name change could check if the name hasn't been taken already in the forum member list.

I did a bit of research and could see that your information is correct. Hope your brother is happy with his new name.
