invisible players:
go into options-> graphics. Set detail and draw distance to zero. exit out. Now go back in and set them to full. You should now be able to see mobs and players like normal.
Noob armor:
go to optipns->graphics. Uncheck default character checkbox.
Constantly loosing connection:
You are probably on wifi. No solution known yet.
