ios android cross over

So i went on android forums and people were saying that OTM planed on alowing android users to play on ios servers and vis versa. And they sayed OTM was planning on doing this befor 2016. Now for me having a ipod for and a galaxy s5 this would be amazing for me but i am asking if this is true or just a lie. Please confirm this to be true

The only reason why they saying the are thinking about is because they are to nice to say no we haven't even thought about jt
