Speed cap resolution

Otm verified there was indeed a speed cap, and weapons like dl dag were almost useless on haste lixes. They stated they would put a warning on haste lix descriptions about the cap. Engine has come, no warning or changed to the description. Has the speed cap been removed? Or is otm ignoring this along with the rest of things it chooses to ignore.

my guess is that its been passed onto the team for investigation :P . remove speed cap is what i want so knuckblades can actually be useful and not a waste of time, and also so people dont waste their money on hastes if they use a dl dag or anything with that relative speed

Ninja if OTM has confirmed this and said they would put warning in the description what investigation is needed?

I agree lower the speed cap would be a preferred option but until then people are paying real life money for something that doesn't do what it says.

Just as a general question why is that acceptable here whereas if it was a traditional good or service with misleading labelling there would probably be several real life repercussions for a company?

Answering my own question probably because the player base is international and a large number under age or students plus there is that old fashioned "it's just a game" attitude hanging around.

This as well as the Elixir Issues.

I (and others) can verify the bug where you disconnect and your elixir disappears: effects and all. I saw it happen to Immortalius around four times during 200 6*.. To my knowledge no refunds were given.

I am sure there are legal violations for this: it's like buying an iPod, it exploding in your hands by its own accord from a bug in the iOS, and Apple saying "oh well" and avoiding the topic.

OTM: I think you are a great company, and I know you are working hard and plan to fix many bugs in the Tower Update package, however immediate critical issues such as products masked by false advertising and disproven claims about the effects and descriptions of items purchased through real life currency may result in a very expensive lawsuit by a money-hungry lawyer, which I am sure your company does not want.

They don't care. They hide behind their "we own everything/your account isn't really yours" policy.

was a sarcastic joke at the usual response to such issues :P

Lawsuits are unlikely I think. Unless a player was a senior partner at a UK firm and was a little bit mental.

But if you made a dishwashing liquid that said it works equally well in cold water and it didn't even cause bubbles except in hot water you would have bad publicity and shops removing the item and share price drops and maybe government agencies coming in to say "hi" etc etc

I know a small company like OTM is probably (certainly) working hard just to keep the game progressing at its current rate. Things will fall through the cracks. But they need to have a list of "must do" items that get patched as soon as they can. There must be such a list but do they always give it enough attention or communicate the issues quickly and provide the correction schedules to players?

If old Wand animations fail or there are big clipping issues on current Event hats these fixes go on the general fix list.
If the emoticons stopped working or a quest is bugged or Boggans dropped no gold that would be an important fix.
It servers go down, the "join the game" screen crashes or we buy Plat items that don't work that is a critical fix.

Love how this is moved to ask for help...to keep out if public eye? The previous 100+ discussion was kept in gen discus...also that ended by otm saying they would add a description warning about the cap with the addition of the new engine. Instead they do nothing and are still deceiving players.
