How did otm intend for the game to be played? How were drops to be distributed? Rolls? Banks? Dkp ? Looking for an answer from OTM. Preferably Muldar. Thanks.

I don't think there was really an "intended" way for drops to be distributed.
On all MMOs there are usually clan preferences for gear distribution that are decided upon by the clan.
