is this not currently (natively) possible? are there any dev plans for immersive mode?
After a certain point, zooming in will start making your character invisible so you can see what's happening. Zooming in as much as possible makes the game first person, except that you can't see your own weapons, hands etc.
That's as close as you can get right now.
