New Password is not being sent to email

I have tried multiple times to get a new password sent to my email for my account . It's been atleast 12 hours and I haven't even got one back at all. It's not like I'm sending it to the wrong email. It says "new password has sent to email" . I go and check my spam folder and inbox and nothing comes up. How long do I have to wait ?
