I said RunScape because you pulled "The Grand Exchange" directly from RuneScape  The Grand Exchange took the MMO experience out of RuneScape by making it so if you wanted an item and had the cash, it was instantly yours. I enjoy the feeling of not only grinding the gold, but also having to hunt down my "beloved super item". Well, there is my opinion :)
Hmmm I think you could speak for quite a few people who share a similar opinion.
This is exactly why I don't agree with most of you people

You guys want- to "hunt down you beloved item ". Personally I think that's annoying as Phuck.

I want - to be able to buy what I want when I want.

Before the grand exchange runescape was annoying as hell going to world 1 and 2 and looking for someone to buy or sell the item.

And people... Have we forgotten the most fun part about runescape?!?!? The economy! The grand exchange works like the stock exchange... So imagine buying 10 ancient daggers in CH and waiting a week and reselling them and making 50-100k because the prices fluctuate daily and since your holding some there are not as many in the world to trade with. This causes the prices to rise. Then the people buy them up and the prices fall back to an original price. 10 ancient daggers are just an example.

Merching clans- the most fun part about any MMO I have ever played was playing runescape and being in a huge merching clan and being able to control the markets. Making gold is fun. Grinding killing mobs is annoying and lame.

I don't have time to waste just grinding out gold... I work smart, not hard....
Me and other smart people will love a " grand exchange " type feature because now we can make millions of gold and finally break away from the scrubs who just grind away all day.

Seems like all you care about is making a monopoly and manipulating prices.

This is why America is in such dire straights, because people like you in the real world buy lobbyists to lobby the government to make policies that would allow them to make monopolies and manipulate prices.

Causes countries in the real world to fail. hope CH doesn't follow suit.
Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

I love this idea, the key is if you have nice stuff on a poor server then you switch to a better server and sell for much more gold. Someone is gonna be rich :3

thats why server switches would be a bad idea, it would ruin micro economies

grand exchange would too

You don't need a grand exchange in order to have a clan that controls the economy of a server. My clan (even though it is very small) completely controlled disk prices in the SV days, up until Otherworld came out we were making up to 10k a sun disk, and we were getting piles of them daily. Celtic heroes is nothing like Runescape, currently there is no money making skills, woodcutters would desperately want to sell there logs extremely cheap while there was a "middle man" chomping at the bit to buy said logs, and sell them for top dollar to fire-makers. If one clan on one server bought out all the ancient daggers on all the servers, what would anyone do?? I would just say "screw you guys, I'm going to buy one from the shop in stonevale". If we are talking about items that can no longer be attained, like a Winter King hammer, if one clan bought almost all of them and tried to charge top dollar for them, I would say, "idiots! They're borderline useless unless you are lvling an alt, why would I pay top dollar for that?" I could honestly see Admin adhearing to your "needs" and putting in a "Grand Exchange", even though it would corrupt the Celtic heroes economy. I quit Runescape for Celtic heroes. If this game starts to merge into a baby Runescape, then I'm out.

Infinity - get over yourself. And get out of the runescape mindset. Most rpg games require you to be committed to one server. That's what makes the game fun. A server becomes a world of its own. You as a player have to work within the workings of that server. If you build up a reputation as a selfish player *cough* then you have to deal with that reputation.

In other rpg's you would have to pay to transfer servers. This keeps the servers vibrant and alive.

It also allows the future o the game to flourish. If one thumb wanted they could even open up a new server and everyone who joined that server would be equally new to that server. If you had a runescape server setup then only the top players would ever flourish.

Take the blinders off and see the big picture. You annoy me
World - Gwydion - semi retired in 2020

Searching for the next adventure.

But whenever people control the market and make tons of money, other people are losing that much money. :|

Exactly :) And to be completely honest.. Everyone loses a little but is happy in the process.. Why are they happy... Because its not a big deal to them to lose a few hundred gold on an item.. Buttttt the person who's making the big bucks has hundreds and hundreds of the items and then resells them for a few hundred gold profit... I'll give you an example:
Player A - buys an acorn for 100 gold.
Player B - buys 100 acorns for 100 gold - they pay 10k
A week goes by
The stock prices rise to 170 an acorn ( +10 gold increase a day because one player has so many acorns which is causing a high demand for acorns )
Player A- keeps his acorn
Player B- sells off all of his 100 acorns for 17k ( profiting 7k for a wise investment )
A week goes by...
A big sudden increase in acorns has flooded the market causing a rapid decrease in price ( -20 a day )
So that means that acorns are now worth 170-20x7=30 gold per acorn
Player A decides to sell his acorn and loses 70 gold on the deal.

This may help you better understand what I'm trying to put in place for this game. Look, you all whine now but when this happends and you guys start a merch and you make a mill or more in a month of passive waiting for stocks to go up then you will not be so mad about this idea.

This my friends is what a Grand Exchange will do for us once it's put in place.

It's like holding stocks. It's really fun and it gives you something to look forward to when you log in.

Reading this made my eyes bleed a little... Seriously bro... You have no idea what your talking about. In other RPGs you don't have to pay for a world transfer, and if there are then I'm sure I haven't heard of them because they suck and nobody likes them.
"What makes a game fun is that a server becomes its own world " got news for ya bro... That's not fun...it's small, and annoying, and lame, and the same people, and the same ol same ol... It's not fun that way.

Pig... 3 things.. I like your name. Congrats on being a chieftain on the forums.. Your opinion now matters to me :) and 3rd.. Yo ruining micro economies is the whole entire point...
Micro economies suck compared to one big grand economy for this particular game.
I want to be able to hope to any world and expect to see the same prices across the board.
Doing so makes it much much easier to merch.
