The golden blades have such an advantage over the golden dagger of venom but I hear the regen of the dagger is more important. So my question isn't witch one I should get, I am simply asking if the 15 energy regen is worth buying the dagger for. I want responces of rogues over level 125 because their experience of the mid-higher end of the game will dictate whether I will buy a golden blade for my rogue or a golden dagger of venom.

I will be using these skills (assume they are all 30+/30. My smoke bomb will be 39/30)...

I will generaly be using poison weapon every 60s, smokebomb every 15s followed by a quickstrike to cancel animation, and sneaky attack everytime cooldown is off. Now during a boss, assuming I have full frozen (I will have enough total energy), will 30 regen be enough?

i use ammy (20 pts) bracelet (10 pts) ring (5pts) and offhand (15pts)

thats 50 energy regen per tic and i still run low on boss fights, so i bought an energy crown (15pts)

without at least 60 regen i run dry near the end when i start casting assasinate


get the offhand, if you want the added dex and strength and ice (for lava floor) get the ice tridant, a rogue in avalon uses one and loves it

either way the energy is vital

Im not using assassinate and I only use quick strike to cancel the animation of smoke bomb. The trident is a mixture of the dagger and sword, but im not so sure about it. Ill get back to you on that.

Edit: the trident adds a total of 90 attribute points, 15 more than a golden blade. So my dex and str can remain the same with an extra 15 points to spare. The 100 health means I can take 15 points out of vitality for a total of 30 points. So the question is... Is the 30 extra points, 100 defense, 15 rejuv, and 100 energy worth the 100 elemental damage loss? The answer seems to be yes so far

yes, tridant is better than blade imo because of that, i use golden dagger simply because i like that the pierce multiplies and poison damage is never really resisted

I chose the trident vfer the dagger for the stat points. In the end, I heve 55 less attack but I have 190 defense. Now im worried that I baught it but the dagger may provide more damage. Know what I mean?

ice tridant works very well on lava floor with a mage who has ice lure, otherwise the dagger adds more damage, though the stats of tridant make up for it, its really a style preference in terms of how you build your rogue

Yeah the trident is amazing for soloing but thats not really what im into right now. Im trying to get rid of it now for the venom. I was mislead by the stats.

Here is my end game plan (with frozen dagger, bp, legs, and boots, bloodlust, heroic haste, and a royal wyvern bracelet)

With Trident:

With these stats, I would have about the same health, so thats not a factor. The strength difference may mislead you but with the dagger, I will have better damage. Now dexterity is important to me but the 35 loss is no big deal. I will be sing smoke bomb to back up my already high attack stat, and my poison weapon will suffer a bit from the dexterity loss but not much as im sure it would have plateaued a bit anyway.

i prefer using Dagger of Venom rather than the offhand sword. i havent tried using trident, but i may get one someday when i have time to train spear ability. using black spear from aggragoth and white trident looks fantastic especially with warden and black mask. looks mean.
(more for the looks than serious boss fights)

My preference is this:

Venom dagger (15 regen)
Heroic ammy (20)
Ring (5)

At level 127 I have sneaky, quick attack, assassinate, and bandage wounds all at 30/30. I would rather max a different skill than BW, but without being a huge plat spender it is very convenient. The rest of my points are split with a few in distract (which I need to change) and smoke bomb. In boss fights I only run out of energy once assassinate becomes available with 40 points in focus.

This being said, it is my opinion that the venom dagger is worth the regen. Instead of a regen bracelet find a nice talon one to add piercing.
