The most expensive items, even in the real world, are the rarest items. Why do you think the 1931 Bugatti Royale is the most expensive car in the world? Because there were only 6 of them made ever.
In Morrigan only 2 Broom of Dooms exist (or at least still held by active accounts).
It's not for sentimental reasons why people want them, it's for their rarity and uniqueness. It's human nature.
But looking a it objectivley:
1. rarity
2. uniqueness
2. bragging rights
3. way you sit on it (and other aesthetics)
4. sentimental value (wish I could/would have got one when they were out)
5. collecting
ect.
None of the reasons are to make your charecter better or more useful. That was the point I was getting at.

#22Avalanche Sled isn't worth much. And, my opinion, if u have everything u need mostly, buy a few Sultan's carpets, different colors. They are 200k each, but later, after a while, they will be worth a FORTUNE. MUCH more than 200k for each. I have 2 now, and I expect to sell them after the carpet vendor is gone, for a few mil.

#23People get better at farming gold, a new player could save up for a carpet within a week, look at avalanche sled there was only around 20 on each server and people struggle to sell for 150k, alot mor have bought carpets you would just be wasting alot of cash buying multiple ones unless you intend to keep them.Avalanche Sled isn't worth much. #27I laughed too but maybe the person who quit had 2? There were 3 active brooms on danu, and Z quit or at least is inactive and now there is only one active broom on Danu.
