Below are some proposed new rules for Ancients and Phoenix
Modified Novermber 3rd.
We are tweaking the membership rules to hopefully alleviate some of the issues we have been having.
Membership
1. New level limit is 100 again for people in general. This does not affect current members who may be lower than that. They can stay. Alts can be any level.
2. Guardians and Generals can invite a lower level character if they know that character and are comfortable that the character will be a good addition to the clan. Basically, only someone who is vouched for by an officer will be in the clan.
3. there is no longer a rule number 3
4. Officers (guardians, generals, chief) are not created as a reward. We have a limited number and it will remain that way. We have enough to keep the clan running.
5. If you choose to leave the clan, that is fine. Your actions once outside the clan may influence whether you are allowed back in. If you leave the clan, do not expect to ever become an officer. Loyalty is important.
6. If you have a problem, talk to an officer.
7. Not sure what, if anything, will happen to phoenix.
Etiquette
1. No begging or whining (whether for drops or to get into groups or anything) – clan chat should be pleasant.
2. Keep clan chat clean, there are kids playing
3. While it is OK to ask clan for stuff (or to sell stuff) – do not spam the clan chat with BUYING or SELLING
4. Our clan will have hugely varying levels – from 60 (and under for some alts) to 145+. Just because you are in the clan does not mean you can expect someone much higher level to always help you. Don’t ask someone 20 or 30 levels higher than you to level with you in the OW. You will generally level just as quickly in level appropriate areas of Stonevale. In general, for leveling, group with people within 10 levels of you.
Bosses
1. if you spot a boss, our general policy is to group on you for the battle. Please indicate which boss it is - don’t just say Ironspike – say Ironspike Boss, ironspike 5, ironspike lackey, etc. That way people know what they are grouping for.
2. The appropriate level for a boss is to be no more than 10 levels lower than the boss. We are willing to make an exception if you spotted the boss. Other than the spotter, if the higher levels want you to leave cause you are too low level, please do so. You can help with adds, and you will have plenty of boss kills as you level up. Remember, the high levels have to spend money on idols and resto pots to do these bosses, the more high levels in the group, the cheaper the fight – so please don’t expect one or two high levels to carry a bunch of low levels through a fight.
3. We are likely to become a relatively large clan – this means that occasionally there may be two or more groups that show up to a boss fight (especially falgren/deadroot). Sometimes those multiple groups may all be ancients or mixed. It is likely to be chaos. Please do not whine about how other clanmates ksed you, or that you attacked first. It will be chaos and one group will win. Sometimes you will be in the winning group, sometimes in the losing. If you can’t be a good sport about it, this is not the clan for you.
4. We accept and encourage mixed clan groups. Do not deny someone membership in a group just because they are not Ancient. We have a decent reputation, lets keep it that way.
5. Our clan does not KS bosses.
6. If you KS someone on a regular mob (or are ksed), apologize and move on. Most of the time it is accidental.
One note about KSing or Helping:
Do not help another person or group directly without asking first. They will not know your are helping, and even if you try to, if you are not careful, you could KS by accident. if you respond to a call for a boss (say Spirehoof) and you get there to see another group fighting do not start fighting. You have two choices (assuming you cant combine groups) - help them or watch to see if they crash and you can take the kill.
1. if you choose to help them, do so indirectly - put on buffs (poison weapon, bark, etc), heal them, cloak of fire or def spikes.
2. take care of adds
3. do not attack the boss directly. Once the boss is CLEARLY past halfway, you may ask them if they would like some help to finish the boss - most ppl with say yes and thanks, at which point, go to town.
Selling Stuff:
please don't spam clan chat with SELLING... - please use the following thread: http://www.onethumbmobile.com/celticher ... 22&t=18181
Drops and Helping clanmates
If your plan is to get drops and sell them at high prices – this is NOT the clan for you.
When you get quest drops you cannot use, please offer them to the clan first. We want to strengthen our clan. There is nothing more frustrating than hearing that a clanmate sold something you needed to someone else. The one exception is if someone in the group you got the drop with needs that drop – then you can feel free to sell it. Or if you owe someone.
Low level people should be responsive to constructive criticism from high level players. There are many things you can do to make yourself more effective in a group. From knowing that poison weapon should be cast on rangers (who have rapid fire) to knowing where to stand so you don’t interfere with targeting of others. I learned a lot from higher level players when I first joined.
thanks
