Sharp shot is actually good for you. its a lot of damage and i use it a lot!!

I find both my auto and skill attack damages are so random that sometimes sharp shot does more damage while other times it does less.

I just got my bow of the four winds (yeah me) and have a quartz as well so I was auto attacking on the training dummies to see which was better. They are both fairly close so is up to your preference but the point is I would see my auto range like 70-80 points from hit to hit on the dummy with the same bow?

And yeah, sharp can be say 200 one hit and 90 the next hit on the same mob. Do not understand that.

I screwed sharp shot. Cuz i have anc warbow and +7 damage quiver, my attacks do way more damage than sharp. I find rapid shot very useful though. Its better for me to put my points into light heal, bolas, and/or rapid. As I level up I will become mostly dps but for now im getting my dex up because my equipped items make up(or exceed) the lack of my strength.

Listen I'm a level 88 ranger in herne and sharp shot , bolas , rapid shot and light heal are the top skills u need, sharp shot make a huge difference if... U have a nice dex with a nicer dex u will heal better not miss much atall and u will be able to stay alive in fights for a longer time also being help to ur group aswell.

The problem I have with Sharp Shot is the cool down. I do about 4 - 5 Auto attacks (without speed gloves) in between Sharp Shots.

That said, at L75, I have 20/20 Sharp but only 80 Dex (225 Str) and my Sharp does about 50-75% more dmg than my Auto attack in general. I believe the tool tip says 350ish dmg, but that's assuming 0 defense lol and my dmg (l75 bloodgroves) is around 225 vs 150 Auto attack (with Quartz).


Will have to see when I get higher, and/or get the quest skills, but right now, I just don't have any other place to put skills on lol (Aim is like 16/20, Bolas is up L90 alrdy and Barbed is crap).

I honestly can't tell my shots hit so much a difference each time sometimes my sharp hits 90 on a 1 star boar other times it hits 130+
Sometimes my auto hits 60 sometimes it hits 120s
Generally with sharp 15/17 and me with ancient warbow and fire quiver sharp hits more and im a dex and Strength build leaning to strength thought (like 110 str and 80 dex)

The usual reason why people hit higher than sharp shot with auto because they don't have high enough dexterity.
