I dont think that we rangers need "new" skills for using a spear, but rather allow the skills that we currently have to also be used while wielding a spear.

Really, if you use a spear as a high end ranger there is something wrong with you, and agg drops a light heal bracelet with SPEAR SKILL BONUS!?!? Are you kidding me?

I cant wait to get that bracelete, IMO spears rule. I much prefer spears to bows, but then i guess it all boils down to playstyle.

Im making a spear ranger now and I like that he can only use rapidshot. It gives me the ability to max that and also other support skills like bolas, light heal, camo ect.

I'm sure you are not a high level or even mid level ranger yet, not a swipe at you just evident if you think playing ranger as a spear class is viable.

Sure spear is something to hit the obelisk with but that's all.

It doesn't provide anywhere near the dps of bow or knucks , offhands that can be used with spear can all be used with knucks. You can not tank with spear as you don't put out enough dps to get the bosses attention. You can not heal to the best of your ability as the best offhands for healing are quivers.

So basically if your goal of play style is to use a class to the least of it's ability then being a spear ranger is perfect.

My ranger is level 55. Since level 48 I've been solo farming xp on pigs, I think the highest level thing that I've killed so far was a 3 star level 64 wisp, I've also soloed the level (63 or 64 I forget) 3 star dragon that spawns in front of the castle. I'm not sure if 55 is considered mid level or not but so far I've been able to consistantly kill things around 10 levels higher than my toon. If this pattern holds true for me in OW I'll let everyone know. So far though I'm a firm supporter of the Spear/shield ranger set up with a strength build.

IMO, mid level is 90-110 these days.

I think the Spear Trainer should sell Spear Skills. Not for Just Rangers, for every class that uses Spears. And I am not talking about 4 skills. Just 1 or 2. Maybe a Defensive Stance that slightly slows attack speed but greatly increases defense for Spear use, and a Thrust that is Spear based.

Let the Spear be a viable option for all three classes, and let there be a warden, meteoric and frozen, and dragon spear available for trade in. When trade in quests come.

It's obvious with all the +200/250 Spear Aggy Bracelets you plan for people to use the Spear. So legitimize it please with a few store bought skills. Or don't and remove them and switch them toward main weapons.

LOL I just realized how wierd it is to get one of those new bracelets with odd ability boosts. Like why would a level 150 6* drop something that serves a level 80 more use than a level 130+? A rogue or ranger that gets a bracelet such as a spear boosting one wont be serious about using knuckle blades and spears. Sure, they may have their ability maxed in spear but that is most likely due to boredom or they are preparing for something for the future.

There are always unique-build individuals - people who stray from being common build, and they often turn out amazing.

We just have not seen all variations of rangers bracelets. There must be more being dropped. If only everyone shares them.
