Any have smoke bomb and play dead ....What do smoke bmb ... and what do play dead ???

smoke bomb lowers enemy defence (dodging and blocking) play dead fakes death making enemies not attack you

Smokebomb lowers enemies dex. Lowered dex means the enemy hits you less and you hit it more .

Play dead looks cool but is useless.

It's a great skill, but most don't use it. I am going to switch to a hand2hand build, so smokebomb will be nice.

Off Topic- I want to experiment with the change in damage. I know that I lose assasinate and sneak attack, but If I have full radiant, Haste gloves, a trident, and poison maxed, maybe the damage speed will make up for it. Hopefully I can find a royal quickstrike or an aggy drop to boost my quickstrike and stack with my grand. With the extra attack speed plus quickstrike, I'm curious if I can deal more damage with knuckleblades than with my dagger.

hmmm... not a bad experiment. however, like the melee mage, it won't be very good unless you have as much high-end gear as possible

I keep my smoke bomb maxed, mainly for boss fights since they have such high defenses and because other clan rogues already have rend maxed higher incl ring bonuses (I try to maximize overall group contribution by not casting overlapping effect skills). The effectiveness is pretty noticeable as misses are significantly decreased. This, combined with H2H, is very effective DoT strategy. Just beware of mobs with fire cloak (a Rogue's worst nightmare)!

Regarding OP... Don't bother with Play Dead. Skill points are better spent in other skills. If you're in danger of dying, I recommend just logging out to lose aggro. If you're in a fight that you don't want to lose by logging and you can't use hp pots, your skill points might be better invested in Distract -- though this only works if you're in competition, or if someone else is in group that is better suited to take the damage. It's saved my hide many times.

Good idead Dudezzy. Ive experimented a little and with a H2H bUILD knucklespikes and knuckleblades are amazing. Btw say hey to me on crom sometimes
