#12Hi RoseMorphmarfa,
can you please share your stats with me. Privately if you wish. Thank you.
Celtic Rose
Str: 5 (30)
Dex: 10 (20)
Focus: 515 (675)
Vit: 215 (265)
Obviously, all RPG games tend to be gear dependent, so is CH. I have been lucky enough to secure the following items:
Radiant Earthstone Greaves – 500 defence
Radiant Earthstone Boots – 250 defence and health
Greater Earthstone – 350 health and mana
Grand Lighting, Storm Touch, Embrace and Vine ring
Major Wyrmclaw bracelets - + 15 /10 stats
I usually equip these just for Wyvems. My total health is about 2.3k. (Sometimes I cast abundance to get 2.5k). Most people don’t think much of the Earthstone gear due to crap armour (apart from dmg) but the truth is its super awesome for druids. The 750 defence is W.O.W for reducing interruptions and I get an additional 600 health. I don’t mind the armour as our quest armour isn’t fantastic and I have a high lv bark.
Another main difference could be our spell investments. I am really more into dmg. My lighting and Vines are maxed and high lv in Storm. My bark + lv 1 slash enables me to take about 210 dmg on average while my embrace is about 145 per tick. I also cast the lv 1 howling wind as every bit helps. My success rate is usually 80% on Wyverns though I am usually left with almost zero mana after I killed it.
I am also planning ahead as eventually we will be using the void black book which gives between 125 to 175 focus main hand. So if you are a dps role, it really means you can take off more focus points as it doesn’t do much overall. Esp when I am over 650. I will probably restat, pump a chunk into strength, dex and get a golden trident.
On a slight note, druids are definitely able to solo lv. Yes, we take more time in killing mobs but what do you expect out of druids?

Good Luck

Re: Leveling a Druid: When does it feel worth it to you?
#14My previous post was intended for Celtic Rose, a lv 145 druid who has been playing over a year, who is having difficulties in solo leveling. At our current level, the only mobs available are lv 140/145/150 wyvems. When someone is unable to progress further into the game due to solo level while others are still able to, it usually means perhaps the current built may not be suited for the current lv mobs. That was my suggestion.

Celtic Rose is also a high end lv druid who should be able to access high end gear or at the very least have opportunities in securing it. Again, I have not instructed that earthstone armour is a must have item. It is however encouraged to secure it if possible as mentioned on other threads in how to stop interruptions. This is the same for Wyrm bracelets and grand rings. I already mentioned my gear is meant for wyvs, a high end gear for a very high end mob. Merely taking a further step in explaining how a druid can actually solo kill a wyvem.

Re: Leveling a Druid: When does it feel worth it to you?
#15Hey, thanks so much. Unfortunately my former clan would not equip me with any radiant gear. They are of the opinion that a Druid is not worthy of it. I guess you would say that I am a hybrid Druid. I plan to experiment and will hopefully secure some of the items you mentioned. (if I can, I am broke ATM, lol!)

Very happy this is a "former" clan, Druids are a very necessary component to any group, unless of course people enjoy spending money on idols. Good luck

Re: Leveling a Druid: When does it feel worth it to you?
#17My Druid is 120 now I think. It has always been worth it. Whenever I play an mmo I try to play both a healer and a tank as part of what I am doing so i can understand that dynamic. Tanks, heal Druids and support Mages in this game are amazing IMO. They can play far, far above their level very effectively. The aid Druids and support mages can give to lower levels is almost stupidly effective.
That said, when I play a healing toon I do not put any points at all into attacks and I pretty much never solo. I have some earthstone, etc. and it is possible to solo very effectively, even without respeccing, but I just don't do it much. I think it is a bit funny to play a Druid as a healing class and not expect to group.
Celtic Rose- not to be offensive, but your clanmates sound like idiots. They do not share drops across multiple groups on the same mob? They do not think it is worth sharing gear with Druids? Let em die a bit.
Ok... Not really, but groups simply do not function without the vital role of heal Druids... Or tanks! Do they view tanks as worth sharing gear? Your clan sounds like an adolescent dps obsessed crew... Based solely on your representation of course, since I am sure I don't know them. If so, I would lose em. Heck... Organize a Druid walk outand see how they do then.
Kidding...
I also have a pure dps Druid with 1 point in Natures Touch.
I pretty much only solo him, in part because he is just too confusing to other players who expect heals. He is still sub 100 so very easy leveling as of yet.
I recognize that at 140 leveling takes on an entirely different dynamic... 145 you basically got the Wyv lords and Titans? I think there will be new content before that becomes a real problem for me on most of my toons.

Re: Leveling a Druid: When does it feel worth it to you?
#18Leveling my druid has always seemed worth it. My warrior is too...Clumsy i guess. I love to be able to add support to my friends, be called in for SV boss fights, and to even just sit in front of fellfire increasing my Warding ability, BECAUSE I CAN HEAL! people say that Druids are underpowered, and in some cases, i agreee. but overall i just enjoy the time i can go to Stonevale, and have a lvl 120+ ask if i can heal while they fight Deadroot or Falgren.

#19I'll just quote this, for my answer. Been looking at this thread, and just don't know what to say.It has always been worth it.
IF a single fight (even if one of many) is the only time the rest of your play time is worth it, then something is wrong...

I would agree with you I have always enjoyed playing. I picked a point in time because it seemed to be the spirit of the post. If you want to help others the a druid will always be rewarding.
