Rare mobs spawn too rarely

I know rare mobs are supposed to be "rare", but I've only seen some of the enemies that drop quest items spawn once. Actually, I haven't even seen some of them. I've seen Skydancer, Vedranox, Frostharrow, Fireflight, the pink unicorn, the Goldtusk Boar, the Goldleaf wisp, and the skullcrusher guy that drops goblets. I've seen each of those once except the Goldtusk and the Goldleaf.

Maybe I don't hang around where they spawn much, and maybe some of you see those mobs daily, but I still think they spawn TOO rarely.

I don't think they spawn daily but they still spawn. But some are just insane rare. I've seen 1 bloodgrove demonologist in my entire play time and a demon diamond (needed for meteoric weapon) goes for 10K+ gold. Everyone needs to do weapon quest so demand makes some of these rares insanely hard to get and / or afford.

BUT my biggest gripe is with the Gold and XP rare mobs in the OW for being just as rare. I have played for 10 levels killing treants and kelpies in the swampcaller pit area. I have seen 1 gold treant, 1 green (xp) kelpie and 2 gold kelpies. I have killed thousands of kelpies and treants in that area so that roughly puts the spawn rate of these rare mobs less then 1%. They are rare mobs that drop gold and XP, it won't unbalance anything if they spawned a little bit more frequently. Having these mobs spawn a bit more would make the level grinding a little less monotonous.
