Do existing high level mages understand that all other classes love them as much as we do ?
Lol ok my rouge 10$ and my mage ehhh too much and will be more if i want to keep him up with others so to be a good mage will cost u alot .... That's why mages don't like there call we put in so much to be what SUPPORT..... Count on others ... Great class sigh

I doubt there is truth in the $10 only spent on rogue. If you solo with rogue you need massive amounts of pots. The best rogues I k ow all have a ton of health sigils btw.
Ik a 144 rouge who has probably spent 10 bucks on this game, hes one of the best dps on server.
I will occasionly browse the forums, but for the most part im done.

Mages fixes need to be made , energy lowering , higher damage , element damage into skills ...

Question for rouge so you think "dps skill caster" aren't allowed to be just as good as rouge damage ?
Technically, yes. If mages have just as good direct dps (or better) than rogues.. Rogues simply have nothing. A rogue healing energy? Not gonna happen. I mean, I guess rogues could lure bosses kinda, but it's not the same affect. Give rogues a cloak skill with lures and remove them from Mage, then allow mages to be better direct DPS. I would be more than happy with that :lol:
Lol and yea take away melee skills give them to mages have fun lure him to death or luring him to fall of hill ...

Ow isn't made for soloing so dont go against game engines tho u can gets pricey

No I do not think mages should ever be able to out dps rogues.

Rogues are the dps class, the only true dps class in the game, I've yet to see a rogue play effectively any other way.
Not true Masm is a rouge tank and he makes a really good tank for being a rouge lol

I find it sad that now that rogues have had their fixes they're telling mages to stop whining. We're at the same point as you were before your ups NOW.

You want lures ? Ok, then take them. But try only being able to cast them, without any other skills, and dealing pitiful damage on melee. Then you would be able to criticise mages complaints. Granted, if you wouldn't go whining about it too.`

Mages ARE weak. Not like druids, not like rogues. They're weaks because of game engine, and because it brings more money to OTM.
And one could also blame OTM on false-advertising grounds (of course it'd quite a bit extreme, but...), because, as it has been said, classes descriptions don't say a word about the need to turn to support-only at high-level.
I don't think any other classes have to respec when they get to OW. Druids get to keep their heals, rogues their dps skills, rangers their jack-of-all-trade build which still outdps a mage, warriors their dps/tanking skills. Mages have to switch from shards/firebolts and such to lures, sacrifice and energy boost.

Mages are weak, but that'd be easy to fix without overpowering them. Simply allow wands damage to scale with focus, and lower energy costs/increase spells damage. But it will never be fixed because OTM would lose sales, wouldn't they ?

What level is masm ? I've seen rogue tanks and they are not effective . Now I've seen rogues tank and it's awesome , but a tank build rogue couldn't keep agro off my ranger or my rogue , so it's not really effective .

I think that you had to qualify your statement with "for being a rogue" is very telling

A tank rogue is good for lesser bosses yeah. Granted I'm sure masm is a great rogue, but could he tank Aggragoth? That's the difference between a rogue tank and warrior tank, rogues are not built for tanking and mages have fireball and ice shards on top of lures lol, gimme an assas lure with sneaky and quickstrike, I'd be over the moon..

My post about lures on rogues is clearly ridiculous.. So mages need the lures. Mages are so important and none of you see it. 1 mage can near equal the damage dealt from 10 150+ rogues. 1 Mage = 10 Rogue?

Mages have their own role now and it's unique. A real team Mage is a support Mage. One with Maxed Lures, Energy buffs (even if they have their own sigils) and Cloak. That's my type of ideal Mage and if I'm to level mine, I'll make him a support beast and never change. It greatly helps the clan as a whole, rather than worrying about my self. Mages supply the ammunition for a group to fly through bosses, I don't know why you would want to change that..

Yes, if this wasn't a computer company, I could get a refund on bait and switch, false advertising, product not working as advertised, etc.

But they got my pound of flesh and refunds are a ridiculous idea for a mmo computer game anyways.

As I said in my other posts. This desciption for the mage should be changed and the mage should be eliminated from the class choices until it is fixed.
Otherwise you sucker a buncha new people and the cycle continues. Or maybe that's the point.

False advertising? This is turning ridiculous, Get a grip. If you knew mages sucked in Update 2, why make one and continue to level it? If you started a Mage in Update 3, didn't you think to read the Mage forums prior?

As I have stated - SIGILS ARE VOLUNTARY, NOT MANDATORY.

Max Sacrifice, Max energy boost, you won't need sigils, simple.
