I am thinking OTM should take away mages lure spells and just make a new support class sort of like a bard or something because apparently mages hate it and that role is needed.

It is rather disheartening when mages continue to complain now about armor and gear, no one is ever happy, these forms can be depressing.

The whole debate that books for mages are equal because melees get tridents is absurd though because bar some warriors a trident is a horrible ranger or rogue weapon.

Most players probably do not read the forums, and I believe for the most part, non-mage characters do not really know or understand (or care) about what spells mages have.

This whole debate is more about what mages should or shouldn’t be doing; it’s about making the mage more on an even keel with other classes. The mage was clearly a much neglected class, and for me, at least some of the mage problems are being addressed.

I think you worded this wrong but I think I know what you meant. Either way it is about what mages should or should not be doing because if they do as OTM wants them to post update 3 they are amazing as a support class and help groups better than being a dps, however mages didn't like being a support class.

I don't think it's especially being support, as there afe some mages who would love it. That's about having to go support at high level and then poking three or 4 buttons every two mins, because if youvgo with lures you can't go with anything else, besides maybe cloak of fire and energy boost.

In all reality they only need maybe slash an pierce spells..

I think this patch will help quite a bit but it will not completly satify me or any of the other high lvl mages. I agree with ***, im glad that they are at least trying to work on it

Not quite sure what this message is meant to mean but dude, get a life. You take things personal over a forum when I didn't even direct anything bad towards you? Grow up kid.. Stop crying like a little ***** and play the game. If mages wern't support update 2 what were they? Dps? No. Tanks? Coulda been.. But no. Healers? No. They were support. Energy boost - support, energy well - support, cloak - support, lures - support. The only skills you had not support were energy shield, ice shards and fire ball wern't they?

The Mage has adapted a new role. If I was you, I'd embrace the role instead of moaning that you wanna be something your not. Wouldn't you rather be totally unique rather than a spell-casting rogue?
