I wonder what would happen if you equipped all the light heal rings you could, I'm level 83, with 314 healing because of a grand ring light heal and maxed it, maxed rapid, sharp, bolas. And that pretty much all I need and I have four rejuvs with that for guaranteed energy. Royal,grand,crystal,glass..... lol dang....

And I find in general in PvP a dexterity ranger would beat a Strength ranger

i guess, for me, the question is, how much dex is a dex build at high levels (140+).

i recently rebuilt to (effective with equip):

str: 412 (75 comes from aggy Marksman bracelet)
dex: 300 (75 from aggy vagrant bracelet, 75 from quiver)
focus: 50
vitality: 203

Health ~1800
Energy ~1000

my skills are heal, rapid, bolas, stead, spikes.

my dmg is much higher now with auto. I have always heard that dex starts to lose effectiveness after 300 or so.

I am curious as to what high level rangers think - should i move 100 from str and put it into dex (and an little more in vitality)? or is 300 dex enough? I chose 300 because that seems to be the place where ppl noticed diminishing returns and it was enough to get my light heal over 700 (which seemed a worthy goal). It is also a nice round number

I've also heard strength lose effectiveness at 300.

im lvl 142 and with 560 dex with gear and i waste two rebirths just to undrstand the difference of dex and str built of ranger and really prefer dex built ranger, if u have radiant willow rings or radiant bp i prefer u do str built with some dex, but the difference of ur defence between str and dex is unbelievable when i tried 420 str i dodge bout 1 over 6 attacks, and dex is 5 over 6 attacks. this is why we can solo train so easy.

J, do you still remember what is the difference in your damage with full str as opposed to 100 str?

I have decided to go with dex built and have focused on 4 mains - rapid, lh, bolas and Sharp. I am still considering over the last skill. Seems popular flavor is barbed shoot but it seems aweful to me. I have also gotten Entangle which I really like investing but most ppl have commented it seems to be useless tho I feel it has raw potential. Any suggestions - To Jhm and all?

PS: I know i am not high lv enough but this built will pretty much stick with me till the end. I am still thking of entangle. Pretty much a soloer, I dont care abt the usefullnesss of entangle support but more on whether it be a good combo for dex rangers, bolas once, shoot till mob comes, entangle once + face to face with high dex. Sounds feasible no??.. Hummm

well i have spikes and i use this when training instead of bolasing cuz it is faster to kill but i do have bolas too i only use it on bosses
