A post in general discussion got me thinking, we are the only class without one.
Personally it would be a nice extra skill to use and put points in.
At the moment I only use pummel and giant swing and 1 in 5 times sweeping blow (my auto causes better damage)

I normally dual a druid while playing so don't really need points in anything else as I don't tank and frenzy is still busted.

Yes we do but the issue is how warrior are seeing at this moment in the game ;

The new skills intruduce after update 3 were exclusive for crow control and tanking Not a single overtime skill why? Because tanks dont need thoses only crow control and defence skills.

As. Metallity of the game is for warriors now What kind of over time skills will come close or will make sense well a quick fix should be warcry ( to cause a fear or psychological attack)


In more damage oriented something between slash and barber shot.

My background it that during the whole of update 2 I was a tank and loved it, always there for bosses, one of the main guys to call on.
However, after the new update came out and OW was introduced I need to go mainly dps to level solo. After a month or so, I loved the extra fun u got from dealing damage.

I like the new skills, but they are only for tanks and all warriors don't want to be tanks.

Also rangers seem to want to be spearmen & close combat, druids want to deal damage and not heal etc etc.

A nice DOT skill would make a nice change for us dps wanting warriors.

But to add to your idea I see 2 scenarios for damage skills

To

1 only if hammer is equipped the cause like blunt trauma the make him stunt or loose focus for short periot of time ( shieldbash+ smoke bomb)

2 only if sword or axe to cause some sort of profund wound the makes some kind of bleeding for a short periot of time ( rend/barber shot effect)

Cause we supposed to the strongest toons warrior ( but not the fastest )

To put us in line with other classes.....distance ranged attacks .ranger....rogue.......mage.......

Why cant we wield a Ball and Chain.....ill be well happy with that distant ranged attack

So thats another weap i want devs to consider.....ill make a another post so maybe it might be seen

Warriors do need a DOT skill, every other class has them.
Right now I too only have 2 DPS skills maxed, because frenzy (I don't know where to begin with frenzy) and sweeping blow (inconsistent and energy consuming) are both joke skills. I have maxed protective stance for leveling and put 15 points in taunt for minor bosses and group leveling and then I just stare at my skills, having 30 extra point and I just wonder what to do with them. Enduring guard? No, mainly for tanks and has ridiculous cool down time for only avoiding two hits. Warcry? No, 1/30 Warcry is fine because if there are multiple mobs it does pull them and I can then quickly taunt them. So now I'm stuck with bandage wounds... Is this for real? Fix the warrior skills... It's ridiculous.

Maybe for DOT, a warrior could smash his enemy in the head with the blunt handle of his weapon causing head trauma. This would make up for different types of weapons.

And ball-and-chain... I hope you are joking... That's ridiculous. First off, that's not ranged, ranged is when you are removed from close combat with your enemy. This weapon is attached to you unlike arrows or throwing knives...Second off, if it was ranged what's the point? The mob would just rush you... We don't have bolas like rangers which is the only reason ranged combat works for them.

So yes developers give us a DOT skill or improve Frenzy so it can actually be considered.

Lets make a DoT skill called "dot" where a warrior stabs you deeply and the mob starts losing his Focus and Dex that'd be hot

Yea that would work for spears and maybe swords...but how do you stab someone with an axe or a hammer. And for a majority of mobs loosing focus wouldn't do anything I would rather them lose health.

Maybe instead of a DoT we could get a finishing blow like rogue's assassinate? Call it overpower or something like that. I would prefer a DoT but this might be nice.

I like the finishing move also.

We need some sort of DOT (I don't care what it is) and a finishing move (30% health and below)

I, like others only use 58 skill points out of a possible 141 skill points as I only use pummel and giant swing, the other skills are not worth being used as a dps built warrior.
And btw auto causes more damage than sweeping blow takes to cast.

Here's my final suggestion:
- Get rid of sweeping blow - Since auto can hit as high and this has a terrible cool down, it's useless except for more than one mob and most the time you are facing two mobs because one sneaks up behind you and then you can't use it because it doesn't have 360degrees)
- Replace sweeping blow with a finishing blow. Warriors are supposed to be able to overpower the opponents and then finish them off

- Add a DoT skills like maybe the suggestions posted above
- Get rid of frenzy as it is useless for many reasons
OR
- Fix frenzy so it acts like a DoT (lasts longer and with increased damage it's doing more damage over time. If they don't want to increase skill length maybe change the concept so that it increases weapon speed so you can make up for cast time)

Hopefully community/admin/dev team consider this although I doubt they are worried about warriors right now.
